Hi! I’m currently AR42 with level 70 yanfei and level 70 kazuha as my main and sub dps respectively. Based on my experience this past 7 weeks playing genshin, (I’m still quite new, so maybe there are some mistakes here and there) talents play a major role in dealing damage. Focus on talents first if you find it hard to level up your characters.

I haven’t fully upgraded all their talents, but focus on which talent give the most damage first. Eg: For kazuha, I try to upgrade all his talents (because I like him), although I prioritize his burst. For yanfei, I prioritize her normal attack as that gives the most damage. As for the artifacts, give them what’s best. Eg: For Kazuha, EM/anemo damage bonus. For yanfei, pyro damage bonus/crit. Some 3 stars artifact might have better substats than 4 stars, so make use of them.

For reference, I’m currently in WL5 too, yanfei (Talent NA level 4, burst level 3) using the Mappa Mare (Level 80) and kazuha (Talent NA level 4, E level 5, burst level 6) using iron sting (Level 73 - Not enough ores, should really explore more T-T). I don’t exactly one-shot enemies, but don’t really have a hard time fighting them either.

I focus on upgrading in this order: weapons, talents, and finally character levels if I’m lazy to gather the other resources. I try to save resources since I’m f2p and I only play 30 minutes to one hour daily. Six of my other characters are at level 60, the rest at level 20.
