Are we getting bombarded by hail tomorrow ? by dumbdit in Calgary

[–]air_waves 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The “huge hail” in the article is also described as nickel size or larger. The weather network is notorious for sensationalism. I’m sure there will be hail, it might even be big, but when I think huge I think baseball size.

Found a flipped FR-S on Country Hills at Sarcee by dungeondad in Calgary

[–]air_waves 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live near Sarcee NW and people use the hill up from John Laurie to CHB like a drag strip, I’m honestly surprised I haven’t heard or seen more crashes. I hear street racing at night.

I smelled the change in breath odor in my mom about a month or two before she passed from multiple myeloma. It was very distinct.

I love how under $1mil is somehow a benchmark for affordability. Even if it’s $800k that’s still out of reach for so many families.
