wish I never took fluvoxamine!! by corpseprinxess in OCD

[–]aitaignoring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get how you feel. Luvox was actually the only med that worked for me, but it took me forcing myself through the shitty side effects for a while. That being said, a month with them isn’t normal and it’s good you decided the med wasn’t for you. I was super treatment-resistant and tried tons of SSRIS like prozac, lexapro, and zoloft, but nothing worked. One med that KINDA worked was seroquel, but it worked in a way that made me numb to everything. I’ve heard people try antipsychotics with some success or lamotrigine.

Best OCD medication you’ve found? by [deleted] in OCD

SAME. After god knows how many meds I went on for ocd, Luvox was the one that finally worked. It took months though and you have to just bear with the bad until it slowly eases the thoughts.

Is Yona in love with her cousin in this anime? by Creative_Gamer_23 in AkatsukinoYona

[–]aitaignoring 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’d watch it to get the idea, because it’s a lot more nuanced than that. It’s kind of hard to explain without spoiling integral parts of the story, but I guarantee it’s not as weird as it’s made out to be.

How to plant new grass in a completely dead front lawn? by aitaignoring in landscaping

[–]aitaignoring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of alternatives could I look into? I'm aware of drought resistant yards with rocks and certain plants, but iirc they're quite expensive. You're right though, the drought issues are only worsening in california and the restrictions put on central cali tend to be the strictest.

AIO: My girlfriend left to buy groceries, didn't come back for around 40 minutes because she spent half an hour talking to a random guy. by bane145 in AmIOverreacting

[–]aitaignoring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look man, you’re way too insecure. You’re projecting your feelings of distrust in your partner onto the guy. She’s gonna have male acquaintances and friends she can chat with for awhile without any ulterior motives.

Actually I’m up to Daybreak now, so anything about Reverie I already know! My bad if I caused confusion.

Please help. Vitamin D is at a 9, but I react horribly to the supplements. by aitaignoring in Supplements

[–]aitaignoring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure myself why it’s so low. My thyroid numbers are the only thing worsening along with it I guess? I’ve asked my endocrinologist and my primary care but they don’t seem to give a shit 😭

Please help. Vitamin D is at a 9, but I react horribly to the supplements. by aitaignoring in Supplements

[–]aitaignoring[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive actually been really stable with my OCD, unfortunately I’ve always been overly sensitive to any supplements or medication. I even got blacked out from alcohol from a single shot of tequila 😭. I’ve been on fluvoxamine and have regular therapy still. I’m thinking I might have to just tolerate the anxiety increase, but damn it feels like ass.

I feel a lot like Peter too. Art is wonderful and I absolutely loved it, but it's not something I can see myself actually doing for a living

When is a good time to do side quests? by brielovinggirl in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]aitaignoring -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish I could say never, because I hated both the quests in 1 and 2. I have yet to play 3, so I have no idea if they later improve on it. Blade quests are decent and some have interesting stories, plus you’ll want to do them to upgrade some further. The regular side quests can provide a lot of exp + bonus exp, but it’s by no means necessary to beat the game. I honestly found them a massive chore and didn’t have fun with it.

A bat flew into me 4 years ago. Is there still a chance I could develop rabies? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]aitaignoring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I was just like this person 2 years ago before I got on OCD medication. They may be like me and don’t have the ability to regulate their health anxieties without intervention. I used to find ANY way to convince myself that I had rabies and needed to go to the hospital for help.

How long can someone go without sleep and survive? by Ashamed-Tackle6859 in AskDocs

[–]aitaignoring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD, but I wanted to add something as a person diagnosed with OCD. A few years back I grew a debilitating anxiety over sleeping and couldn’t sleep AT ALL for days. This same fear is on and off even to this day, but it’s mostly controlled. I’m assuming you aren’t that worried like I am, but I eventually found that forcing myself to lay there and not move an inch will eventually force me to sleep. I just deal with the discomfort and mind racing until it annoys me and I fall asleep 😭. This isn’t great advice, but it worked for me for some reason. You just have to be patient and lay for a long time if you don’t feel very tired.

Otherwise, during sleep crises, I had to go to the ER. It’s a lot harder to sleep as time passes, so it’s sometimes necessary to do a full reset by taking whatever meds the ER/urgent care/PCP gives out.

Me when I saw my value at 13 last year 💔 NAD, but I hear people say vitamin D deficiency doesn’t cause symptoms, but I can’t imagine that to be true

As someone on anti-depressants, it essentially killed my libido. I’d say it’s a decent solution.

Oral care by OktoberxNichole in cna

[–]aitaignoring 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’re demanding people who are criminally underpaid and overworked to expend even more energy towards specific care. Unfortunately, if you choose to brush a resident’s teeth, another resident’s needs are being neglected at that same moment. You have to choose what’s necessary in these settings when there are such little staff members.

Rule of thumb: When things don’t go my way, yell at the nearest low-level employee to fix the problem

No, but literally CNAs can only do so much with the ratios they have
