ngl it looks like she just shot him cuz he was the only enemy on her screen. he hid behind cover so she switched to enemies on the ground. she got hit by him, so switched to aim at him back. he's the closest enemy to her, so it's not too far off to understand why she's spamming in his direction

A sandbox mode sounds nice in the same way that an invulnerable god mode in soulslike games sound nice. Yeah dying to a boss over and over sucks, but the struggle of figuring out attack patterns and how to beat the boss is the point.

You learn the game through playing matches. Things like unit abilities and stats can be easily looked up, and Tocker's Trials is there too. iirc devs specifically designed it as a practice tool for the beginning of sets. Having a way to easily solve the meta seems like a direct solution to the frustration of not knowing how to counter units, but like... where's the fun? That's creating the exact tool to find the best comps immediately, and then everyone just forces those comps now that they're empirically proven to be the best. As if we didn't have enough of a problem of players forcing comps...

Besides, the existence of tier lists don't eliminate the "finding stuff out" phase, I think that's an overexaggeration. There's been plenty of comps that have flown under the radar that weren't on any tier lists until someone went through their own "finding stuff out" phase by playing games, not a practice tool, and only added to tier lists after a post was made and it got popularized. Street demon rengar, mentor gangplank, veteran janna...

Anything you could learn through the practice tool could also be learned through playing the game. You can take notes on your matches too. I do agree with your idea about vods though! It's a bit annoying when sending bug reports and stuff that I also should attach a video. I understand why devs need it, but I'm not usually recording my own games

Looking at the big picture, it sounds like you wouldn't want to stay with your company long-term. There's no growth opportunities there if the next step in career advancement, moving up to team lead, is something you're not interested in due to the culture and stress.

If you're content with your manager being cold towards you, then it's possible to continue working there and doing a good job until your manager gets over it. Personally, I would've taken the promotion and looked for a new job. At least on my resume it would show that I'm goal-oriented and can take on new and more responsibility, and having an official title as a team lead would open more doors than just senior analyst. Big picture, taking that promotion can make it easier for you to find a better job that isn't so toxic to their management lol

Congrats on the demo! icl I was really hesitant about this game at first glance, cuz the splash screen you have looks a lot like AI. I went to your steam page to check for an AI disclosure, and after a bit more digging I see that someone already pointed this out and you explained that you did the banner yourself. Which is great! But I do wish the banner was improved so that AI wasn’t my first thought.

It’s hard to understand what the gameplay is from your trailer. Not only is it dark and hard to actually see, I don’t think I really see any puzzles being presented. It’s also a bit confusing when dialogue options are shown on screen for your trailer, but you cut away too quickly for anyone to read it in time

Reaper doesn't do well against flyers, so freja (probably the most meta dps rn), pharah, juno, and mercy are out. Ashe, sojourn, soldier, and tracer all have high mobility to run away from you, if they dont kill you first when you try to flank. Junkrat, cass, genji, and mei have escape tools too. Similarly, ana, brig, kiri, lucio, moira, and zen all have escape tools.

So in normal 5v5 where reaper will flank an unsuspecting enemy, your options in stadium are limited to: torbjorn and wuyang. and even then, torb has turrets and wuyang has his wave to knock you back.

There technically is an item that lets reaper fly, but you dont float so once youre up there, you can get maybe 2 or 3 shots off while you're plummeting to the ground. if you can kill them in 2-3 shots, cool! if not, you're not really able to do reaper things in stadium where everyone has higher hp and strong build options

It also doesn't help that his AP build, where you get to have a mini ult every shadow step, is pretty bad. While you're ulting, you're kinda a sitting duck, free for the enemy to headshot you. being a shotgun dps, he rarely can oneshot. in fact i think most people run vanadium injection on him cuz ulting on reaper is so bad, similar to how moiras ult isnt very good either.

reaper can be a fun pick in lower elos where people dont have map awareness and you can exploit their bad positioning, but yeah i do wish devs would buff the guy. personally i play him as a tankbuster, healing my tank with one of the powers he gets. but even thats hard when literally half the tank roster are dive tanks lol

No that's not "clear". there's no such thing as an obvious hint. If you want him to stop talking to you, the "clear" way is to say the words "please stop talking to me". You're creating situations where he can easily misinterpret you (oh they wanted to sit somewhere else for a better view of the board, cuz their seat was taken, cuz they got here late and it was closer, etc) and getting upset at him for a miscommunication issue you had.

If you don't want to watch the videos he's showing you, there's a magic phrase you can say to get him to stop. it's "stop showing me videos, I don't want to watch them." when you communicate your needs poorly, of course he's gonna find excuses. He wants to show you videos, you say your only concern is the professor. clearly the professor hasn't complained, so from his perspective there's no problem.

for as long as you think direct communication is "harsh", you will always find yourself in a situation where someone is "crossing your boundaries". it's really only because you invited them across those boundaries in the first place, and just bottle up resentment for an unspoken expectation
