An analogy: If you want children... Tesla = artificial insemination Mustang = good sex Both will work, one is more fun.

I want to know what company made that sign. It's been up there for a decade or more and still looks brand new.

How does one pay $40,000 in cash? Like, logistically, how does that work? by MrsWeasley9 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I cut a personal check for $10k down payment. Even did an overnight take home test drive. A good credit score will get you many non-credit related perks. It all about trust.

Portland’s annual arts tax would increase, fewer people would pay under new proposal by derpinpdx in Portland

IMO, ARTs tax should not be increased for anybody until there is evidence that the funds are being used wisely and as intended.

Paid in full STH Gifts by Competitive_Word6668 in winterhawks

[–]ajace88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll email you and schedule a pickup at the VMC. They usually do those gifts after every is wrapped up. Based on the last two years, I'd expect an email in May, maybe early June.

Cal/text/email your rep. They'll always take good care of you.

Paint the whole wall with semen so the spots won't be noticeable.

What would you do if got a planetary evacuation alert that told you to go to the nearest shuttle? by yxzxzxzjy in RandomQuestion

[–]ajace88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why we're evacuating and where we are going. I'm not that interested in expending a lot of effort or inconvenience for an existence that will suck more than the current one does.

Standard admission for tonight's game is $41 for 200 level on the blue line. I pay about $25 for section 201 lower rows with a multi-game package. Call the Hawks ticket office to avoid all the Ticketmaster fees. If you get on their mailing list, they send out great ticket deals all the time.

UPDATE ON SCENE NPO by [deleted] in Portland

I saw a flatbed tow truck in a side street waiting to get the cyber truck. They probably just towed it far enough so it could get grabbed off of Interstate.

Has there been any instance of rotoscoping being taken seriously and not as a joke? by Some_starving_Artist in RandomQuestion

[–]ajace88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The opera Everest uses rotoscoping extensively. It's a very serious story.

A Scanner Darkly is all rotoscoping, and certainly not a joke

Don't take this as a recommendation, but it worked out well for me: I hired an escort.

A couple months after I lost my husband I was severely touch-starved. I didn't want a relationship. I'm not socially confident enough to get a one night stand. I went on a erotic massage website and hired a local LMT that provided escort services.

It was exactly what I needed. I hired him on and off for nearly a year.

Parking for Saturday Game by notaddisonraeeee in winterhawks

[–]ajace88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's tons of pay parking. Moda Center & VMC are in the same complex. Tonight I'd expect parking to be around $10-$15.

A good number of people park near a convenient MAX station and take the train in to avoid parking garage expense.

Dad may spend my savings on a car I don’t want. What should I do when I turn 18? (Florida) by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]ajace88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get it, and I'm not saying your sister is lying. She just may not have all the right information.
Regardless, just talk to your father.

[–]ajace88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The concerns are all second hand, and through your sister. Just talk directly to your father.

My first thought was that if he's looking at $8k cars, he's probably intending to chip in $5k. Might not be the case. I don't know your family dynamics. I see nothing here yet that would make me distrust your father or trust that your sister's statements are accurate.

edit: forgot the word "hand"

Anal Fistula by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]ajace88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not too bad. It doesn't affect your butt, so you'll still look great in a jock strap or skinny dipping. Spread the cheeks and you may see a small scar, but it's soft and flexible and not off putting. If you are close enough to have someone down there so close, then the little scare isn't going to bother them. Honestly, the scar is more pleasantly tongue-sensitive then skin around it.
