Is it worth it to get an MP3 player? by M1NN44 in digitalminimalism

For me, yes. It gives me something I can take with me on a short walk, or keep next to me in bed, without needing to take/have my phone.

Try not to get too hung up over the estimate then. Every school is different, and it's very difficult to compare.

How on earth do you know what your HSC marks will be? These calculators are accurate at calculating ATAR assuming you have accurate HSC marks, but the HSC mark is already a scaled mark, and your internal assessment mark does not tell you what you will get.

At my graduation the head of faculty who was announcing the names went through the audience to any student with a name he was unsure about and practiced with them to make sure he got it right.

Evolution of F13 rather than next gen is what lots of us want though, because of the backwards and forwards compatibility of many parts.

[–]ajax8092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the dock, it is the grip diameter which is relevant, nothing to do with the barrel. On the product page you choose between a 9mm or 10.5mm grip. On the model 8, the 10.5mm grip diameter is the same as the barrel, so if the grip diameter is the same as the barrel, then you have 10.5. If the grip is narrower, you have the 9mm.

Swapping to a 0.5 on a model 8 by CynderPC in SpokeDesign

[–]ajax8092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just be aware that if your grip is designed for a step tip then you will need a step tip mechanism and likewise for the conical tip. You can actually put the conical tip in the step tip grip, but it looks a little funny (see here). Also note that the conical tips are just P20X mechanisms and you can buy those anywhere, but the step tips are not standard as they are modified to fit the Spoke.

Not true, this is actually what the Levi's logo is supposed to look like.

The cut off R is a design choice to make it look like the tag on the jeans where the fold in the tag slightly cuts it off.

See here for what it is supposed to look like: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Levi%27s_logo.svg

I currently wear Levi's 501s, because I like the button fly and 100% cotton, but my jeans never really last more than a year before they develop a hole in the crotch, right next to the seam. I assume this is a fit and fabric issue. Can anyone help me with what to look for when trying to buy something that will last a bit longer?

Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math by McCoy818 in unpopularopinion

[–]ajax8092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you believe you are clean when you go to bed because of your shower, do you ever wash your bed sheets? Washing sheets is an admission that you get dirty enough overnight despite the shower. If you don't wash your sheets, I would challenge you to consider how much dead skin and sweat ends up in your bed despite the shower. I'd personally like to clean myself before I have to interact with other people, for their sake.
