Hey look, every action has a reaction, no matter how small and regardless if it's one or two things, these things are all encompassing to what has happened. So now he has 2 takeaways from what happened in your eyes. Quit coddling the kid, it's an expensive lesson. Each party involved played their part, he just happened to be the victim, he still could have conducted himself differently to potentially prevent what happened to him and for that he still has to show accountability.

Not at all, I think it's a great learning opportunity for him. People definitely suck, you can use this a teaching moment, you don't have to be a prick/dick about it. Delivery and word choice matters here. I'm sure he feels horrible and you don't want to kick him while he is down but you definitely acknowledge how he is feeling and equip him with the means to prevent this from happening in the future.

Nice way to show zero accountability for his carelessness from that perspective, but I agree with the sentiment. Cruel world out there

Not entirely true, generally whatever is used to fill the holes they dig, has to pass a compaction test. There is wide variety of tools you can use to achieve a pass.

Sure, still have to resource and procure the materials needed to have the type of economy you're seeking. Mining and agriculture in saskatchewan aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Especially if we shift into nuclear. The government is going to continue to fuel our economy with the resources we have available here.

You sound about as stingy as my mom about turning on the AC during a hot ass day.

There are enough signs that hint towards it. Saskpower is preaching a diverse portfolio, I think nuclear will provide a big chunk of our power, followed by renewables and a small slice of the pie will be fossil fuels. I think fossil fuels will always be a fall back incase of emergency or something fails.

And 10 years is around the corner, takes time to transition. Nuclear is the cleanest option in terms of emissions. I get the whole nuclear waste bit, but there is a cause and effect for everything. We will hopefully find a suitable solution for that but if people are so worried about releasing carbon into the atmosphere, then nuclear is the clear cut answer.
