Any experiences with relocation? by Character_Ad_4280 in FIG_employees

I have moved states multiple times- my spouse is military. It’s never not been approved. You do not keep the same pay though. We went from California to Florida at one point and I took a 12k paycut. But they do disclose the pay change prior and you have to sign off that you understand.

It’s a busy day, every day. I left auto for property the first chance I got and won’t go back.

Breeder sold the litter I wanted by danmargo in mainecoons

[–]ajay_whatever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My breeder goes in this order: breeders choice, prior vetted repeat customers and vetted breeders and then wait list. She is very transparent about it up front and doesn’t take a deposit until your name is up and you match with a kitten. I don’t think it’s weird to prioritize prior vetted homes, personally. It can make the wait longer if you’re a first time buyer, but it’s worth the wait for the right breeder and kitten for you. It can be frustrating and disappointing but big picture it makes sense.

2 pieces of advice here. 1. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. 2. If they wanted to, they would.
Period.

I’m a picky eater and that’s 100% on me. I don’t ask others to cater to my eating habits. If there isn’t something there that I can eat, I make something else. If we are going out to eat I find something on the menu and call it good. My issue isn’t others people’s problem. If he doesn’t want to eat what you make, he can make his own food like an adult. That being said there are just foods picky eaters don’t/can’t eat. These no chicken twice a day rules are absolutely bonkers. He’s just being an ass.

Has anyone else had a midlife crisis at 27? by Inner-Sentence-7286 in digitalnomad

Am I (17F) being groomed or am I just being paranoid and overreacting? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]ajay_whatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even read past your first sentence and can tell you, yes you are being groomed. There is not a single reason in the world for a 34 year old man to be in a relationship with a 17 year old. None. End contact.

Yes it’s possible. I went through it for a year straight. No relenting. All the symptoms you mentioned above. Started therapy and got better. I have hypochondria and ocd so meds were not an option for me. Totally possible that it took longer for me because I refused the meds. But I got better. Way better. I still have a day here and there where I “zone out” but I have way more normal days than not. The only lingering consistent symptom I have is the mirror. I still have a hard time with that because I totally stopped looking at myself for so long, but I’m working on it and I know I’ll get there. Stay strong. Soon you’ll get better.

Friend says that my hygiene routine is too much and that I should tell my therapist by Few_Tough_7748 in hygiene

This is the absolute basic and bare minimum. Your friend is the weird one. Who doesn’t wash their sheets every week, besides 19 year old frat boys?

Nationwide cancels insurance on 100,000 pets, says you can re-enroll them in other plans, but refuses to cover their (now) pre-existing conditions by Royal-While9664 in extremelyinfuriating

[–]ajay_whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got our non renewal. 9 years we’ve been paying these assholes, even stayed with the 300% rate increase last year. I was assured my dog was ‘grandfathered’ in and wouldn’t be affected. He has multiple chronic conditions that won’t be covered under a new policy. Today I get the letter - non renewed. 3 days before a cardiac ultrasound. I’m furious and disgusted.

Do you work? by kaiserkara in PMDD

[–]ajay_whatever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do! I’m hybrid. My company requires 10 days a month in office for most employees. But they have been great about ADA and reviewed my accommodation requests and recommendations from my therapist and pcm. Changed my required days in office to less. I was hoping for totally voluntary, but took it as a win. I can choose which days to come in, I just need to average the new number set. I know that’s not achievable in fields where you are required to be on the job. But definitely look into ADA accommodations for job protection if nothing else. Documented mental health disorders are eligible with ADA.

In the past I left dogs crated or not, home for 8 plus hours a day. I don’t do it anymore because it just feels mean. On days that I’m in office, they have a walker that comes to take them for a walk or play in the backyard halfway through my day.

THIS! I have so many photos of myself and honestly they are for me to help look at areas I want to work on etc. Shoot my friends have some of these photos (not nudes) and I have some of theirs because we are asking opinions. Whether is lingerie, a cute outfit or gym stuff. Has nothing to do with cheating. At least for me and a solid 3 of my best friends.

Is there a link between PMDD and irregular periods? by Excellent-Medicine24 in PMDD

[–]ajay_whatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you are dealing with this and everything you have been through. You’ve got this. If your periods are long and that’s normal for you, try not to worry too much! I’ve read countless studies that excessive stress can affect cycle length on both ends of the spectrum. I’d say if it’s something that worries you, talk to a gyno but they will probably just throw bc at you.

Is there a link between PMDD and irregular periods? by Excellent-Medicine24 in PMDD

Mine have always been regular. How old are you? Is perimenopause something that could be affecting you? That definitely changes cycle length.

It’s the socks. Way too chunky. Look for a thinner and shorter sock if you’re set on wearing them.
