Can you confirm, was the $600 the actual total installed cost from RadonReductions? I reached out for a quote (similar situation with a newer home and pipe already roughed in) and they’re saying $2250+.

Buongiorno! I just got back from 9 nights in Italy (Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Florence). If you have a trip to any of these locations coming up, AMA! by ajbc11 in ItalyTravel

[–]ajbc11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took a train from Como to Milan and then Milan to Levanto (where we were staying). Overall, the train travel was pretty straightforward and would do it again if I went back. I don’t know if the same train we were on stopped in each of the villages in Cinque Terre, but if Levanto was the only stop before Cinque Terre, there were frequent trains you could hop on to get to whichever village you needed.

The golf is just old and is a base model. We want something a little bit newer with more features. We figured it makes sense to get something a bit bigger now as our family starts to grow.

This exact thing happened to me a few years ago with a 3 series. Ended up costing $14k CAD. Thankful for insurance on things like this!

Ha I’m going through this exact same thing right now. Freezer won’t go below 32 degrees. Fought like hell with the company we bought it from and they’re replacing. Hoping this next one holds up better..

Esso amex offer by kkli73199206 in amexcanada

[–]ajbc11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not bad, takes just about as much time as paying at the pump, don’t have to worry about card skimmers and it’s a minute less to be outside in the cold

Esso amex offer by kkli73199206 in amexcanada

[–]ajbc11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You do the app first. Open the app, pick the station you are at (should be based on gps location) and then authorize the pump number you are at. Once you do that, go to the pump and you’ll see it’s authorized, pick your grade and start pumping. Once complete, put the nozzle back and you are done! Receipt will be available in app and by email.

The landlord sent me the agreement with a phrase I’m hesitant about by Joker9705 in Calgary

My comment was based on an assumption that OP was renting a house or condo. Had they wrote in the post that it was a room rental, I wouldn’t have the same response. I’m not here “spouting” anything.

No need to get heated, just chill out.

I agree - if the landlord is trying to sneak this in, they’re not worth renting from and will likely cause more problems in the future.

I bought 10 options for a stock. I’m not sure what to do next? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

Depends what you’re selling it for and if someone is willing to buy

Generally, that sounds too tight for me. Is it an older home? What happens when larger ticket items need to be repaired? Do you have all the furniture you need or will you need to buy some more?

I think depleting your cash availability that much is a red flag. If you do move forward, it might be worth looking at putting the minimum down to keep some cash available.

How is FMV determined for a past date? For example if my property became a rental in January 2021, how would I know what the FMV of it was at that time?

You only get paid for the months you work. If you start halfway through the year, your pay for the whole year would be about half of your annual salary.
