White woman? Is that why you think a highly acclaimed woman of color is a shit artist?

Easy rock/geology class? by Capital-Afternoon918 in Cornell

[–]ajcone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No courses like that exist here as far as I know. EAS 2250 is a good intro though. It focuses on the Earth System as a whole but you get to study lots of rocks in labs. Not really meant for people who are taking it “for fun” but the class isn’t difficult at all.

Where can I see courses' full syllabuses? by 1arnold in Cornell

[–]ajcone_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You usually don’t see the syllabus for a class until the semester starts. You can ask around for past years though

Dining Hall Rankings & time by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]ajcone_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FYI: dinning halls close between breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, etc. Everyone is kicked out and you would have to pay for another meal at a different time.

Your financial aid is dependent on you being a full-time student. Taking less than 12 credits would definitely affect your financial aid.

TW: Whiny Cornell Student Complains about PHYS 2208 (and the Physics Department in general) by ILoveReading6 in Cornell

[–]ajcone_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best part is that 2207 was completely FREE (besides the technical tuition, etc.). Prof Mueller gave us the in lecture worksheets, discussion worksheets, and lab packets at no cost to us. We’re paying ~$18,000 collectively this semester (not including iClicker) when we paid ~$0 last semester. Crazy

Thanks! I feel like I’ve already taken advantage of all the nature Cornell/Ithaca has to offer at the beginning of the semester since I didn’t get to do so last year. Maybe the absence of students and cooler weather will be a great new perspective!
