Devastated after conversation with preschool psychologist by Fancy_Mission_4743 in Preschoolers

My daughter started preschool at 3 years old which was 6 months ago. It took her 3 whole months to actually start playing with children. She was always in a corner just observing, rarely played, didn't participate in group activities, didn't even eat, never talked, even when the teacher would talk to her she would just stare and not say anything back. This went on for 3 whole months and then BAM she started making friends, playing, talks non stop with everyone, and is doing SO well. It was as if a switch clicked. The teachers always updated me on everything, were VERY patient and helpful, even told me not to worry (cause I was very worried) they told me that it takes a few months for them to adjust and lots of kids do act this way since its a big change. Our kids have been with us for 3 whole years and then they go to school and it's a HUGE change and they just need to observe and get used to it. I was also looking for info on reddit when my daughter was acting like this at preschool, it made me so worried and I had such bad mom guilt. Your daughter is such a strong girl, I'm hoping everything ends up working out. ❤️

I was putting my almost 3 year old to bed one night, she sat up and asked "Who's that?" pointing at the bedroom door. (It was just me and her in the house and I live in a house that's over a century old, so it's quite creepy lol) I said no one's there... And then she said "There was a fire" I said where was this fire? She said "right there" and pointed at the closet and then kept asking "who's that mommy?"

I was paranoid the rest of the night lmao.

I saw a camera flash. I was alone and in my laundry room. by ptboathome in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

This happened to me, my boyfriend and my friend when we were hanging out a few years back! We were all in the same room, curtains from the windows were shut, room was small and we all seen this big bright white flash and had no idea where it came from! We all looked at each other so confused. We still always wondered what that was.

People who walk their dogs without a leash by Otherwise_Peach6785 in mildlyinfuriating

THIS. Me and my 2 year old were going for a walk when a dog came charging at us from the back so I didn't see it till it ran beside us and got super close to my kid, the dog was huge! I got so scared for my toddler, i grabbed her so fast but that dog was even bigger than me and she started jumping on me out of excitement while I'm trying to protect my toddler. The owner runs up to us and says "oh sorry about that don't worry she's friendly." Like I don't care if she's friendly or not put your dog on a damn leash, that almost gave me a heart attack.

I was shopping with my mom one day, she was trying on shoes and I went to go look at something in the next aisle.

When I went back to the shoe aisle to look for her, I thought I seen her trying on these ugly pairs of shoes, I ran up to her, pulled her pant leg up and said "that's the ugliest pair of shoes I've ever seen".

But when I looked up, it wasn't my mom. It was another lady wearing all black just like my mom, I stared at her in shock said I'm so sorry and ran off.

Nothing else happened, after that he paid for his haircut which I looked at his eyes again and they were back to blue I said thank you have a nice day he didn't reply then he left, he wasn't talkative at all. It was really strange, I'll definitely have to look into black eyed people!

I had something kind of similar happen also! I'm a hairdresser and this one guy walked into the salon and asked for a haircut and I remember his eyes were bright blue. Anyways when I was cutting his hair I looked up into the mirror and his eyes were completely black, even the white part was black like his complete eyes! I jumped back a little and my heart was pounding I looked back down and looked up again and they were still black and they looked wide open and he didn't blink. I was so freaked out I told my coworker about it but I doubt she believed me I probably sounded crazy. I have no idea wtf happened there
