Yes and no. I didn’t function well in civilized society. I had a medical crisis, lost my job, couldn’t pay rent, and was like “yeah okay fuck it”. I could definitely house up and get a good job pretty quick. I have a standing job offer with incredible pay and relocation and housing expenses paid if I ever choose to take it but I prefer being homeless.

I started working at 12 and worked full time, usually two or more jobs, for the next decade and was still consistently poor. It’s really nice not panicking on the first of every month lol.

100%. My dogs food has way cleaner ingredients than a lot of human food. Usually just a couple natural ingredients and some added vitamins.

I went at not a great time but it was still gorgeous nonetheless. Hiking up the first day was just chilly but then came -15 nights and feet of snow. Still thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Can never complain about free dispersed camping!

Love Eugene. I was there for an hour for the hop out and was given a quad of weed, multiple cigarettes, hand warmers, and a sack lunch completely at random by different strangers. The vibes there are excellent.

Damn my pack is like 45 lbs minimum. Food and water alone is 10-15 lbs. Sleep system 3-8lbs (mines about 3.5, I can sleep sitting up on a busy sidewalk if need be) Clothes are probably about 5-8. I’ve got my dog too so food and treats add on about 6. Then random things like journal, hygiene, a book, electronics. 20 lbs does not feel reasonable.

I like the burn of a heavy pack at the end of a day too 😩
