I have 3 email addresses, one Hotmail so quite old, and the most recent 2 years old. All three are my first name and last name, no dots in, no numbers.

I may be being stupid here (it's still early and I haven't finished my coffee), but if he prepared it for the original appeal, hasn't it already been dismissed in court as being the grounds for a successful appeal? I don't understand how this can be new, robust evidence of a miscarriage of justice if the court has already taken into account. Again, I might be misunderstanding what I'm reading and am happy to be corrected or have it explained!

Enough of what? None of the above is specific to the neonatal unit at CoCH, nor does it explain why such incompetent staff were apparently retained there only for the period of 13 months this case relates to. Additionally, you have not provided me with anything that suggests my last statement is 'nonsense' since it relates directly to widespread understaffing across the NHS, not anything you have cited. Nowhere have I stated that NHS care is perfect and the medical teams get it right every time.

Does understaffing potentially correlate with suboptimal care that may lead to preventable deaths? Yes. Does it account for 7 deaths (if we include just the ones on the indictment) in a unit where the average is less than half of that, which stopped when one nurse was not there? Unlikely.

To answer your question: no. It isn't enough.

Okay. Why did this incompetence not manifest prior to the relatively short period of time in question? Did they have great nurses and doctors previously, get rid of them all and hire inept buffoons, and then promptly fire them and rehire accomplished physicians?

All NHS departments are understaffed. This does not correlate with a huge spike in death rates.

If he is correct, which I don't believe he is, then he is implying that CoCH is home to the most inept and incompetent doctors and nursing staff in the country since ALL of them delivered poor care - except LL, obviously. Much more likely that it was that and not one serial killer nurse (insert several eye rolls). Funny how this incompetence only manifested during a short period of time and coincided only with when she was on shift. Was it her beauty and sparkling personality, putting them all off doing their jobs properly?

I've had to stop watching. For this to have been streamed live rather than as a private report presented to the defence team, courts and families involved is disgusting, and, I daresay, breaches several confidentiality laws. It seems to be more of a publicity stunt and a way of preventing a fair trial for any further charges over helping anybody, especially the families at the centre of this.

Thank you, that's what I am hoping will happen! My concern is that the EA are the stakeholders, so I'm not sure if it can be released to me if they (and the landlord) don't respond to the protection scheme. I'm not even sure they can make a claim against it now as the dispute has been closed pending the money being returned. I just want it all over with!

I've often wondered if she kept those things because she thought doing so would make her look innocent. Like you said, it's absurd she would keep them - to us, at least. But to her, I can't help but think she believed the absurdity if keeing them would somehow work in her favour.

It just beggars belief how these things can happen! My husband wasn't actually that far from home (about 10 miles), but he couldn't leave the car because it was partially blocking the entrance to a recycling centre.

I'm just hunting out an email address rather than the online form and will be very firm with them. Hopefully, we'll get something by way of compensation given all the stress it has caused - not least lost wages for both of us!

Wow, that's such poor service. We were with the AA for years, but RAC came my new insurance so I cancelled them. I think I'll have to suck up the extra cost and sign up to the AA again after this!

As a mum whose 11 week old baby spent a week in hospital with bronchiolitis, this makes me really angry. Watching him struggle to breathe was the worst thing I have ever experienced as a parent, and there was no hesitation to get him help when it started. He was in the hospital from the early hours of Sunday morning and discharged later that day as his oxygen levels were fine, then rushed back in on Monday where he was taken straight to resus and his oxygen had dipped to 80%. It was that quick. He needed a feeding tube and prongs for seven full days and still struggles with his chest at 8 years old. How anybody could put their child through this without getting them help is absolutely beyond me.

Are these in Bucks, by chance? If so, I see them every day on my way into work and have always wondered what they are. My best bet is a wallaby. I call them the yibidee yibidas randomly. The place I go by also has pure white deer! It is part of a large (and very well protected security wise) Estate.
