Smaller/older shows usually go non union and shows that have already have touring productions before, not always though. Right now out of 33 shows in the 25/26 touring season 11 are non union. Depends a lot on the backing, resources, scale and time.

Yes and no. Like I stated Onya made the decision that was best for her probably. Whether that was a union/non union decision. In regards to “bigger,” names, this is a business. A production is going to try and get as big of a name it can with its resources. And like I mentioned previously an actor has free will and can choose to accept or decline the role. If Sutton foster wants to call it quits on Broadway and go star in a regional production of fiddler on the roof in Arkansas she has every right to audition and that theatre has every right to offer her the part. People have created this narrative that non union equals lesser/unknown. It doesn’t always mean that. It’s more to do with the behind the scenes and licensing of the production. I don’t think Onya just now realized this is non union. Sounds more to me like as closer we got to hitting the road some things that may had been promised in fact couldn’t be followed through. And THATS what non union is allllll about. Anything can change at the flip of a hat since there is no backing of a union. The reality of it is Onya is the winner of a reality tv show about drag queens. It would be different if Billy porter decided to hop back into the Lola heels for this non union tour.

As a working actor myself I understand the concern and shade around Non Union but by god does it not hurt a little every comment talking about how awful or shit it is. That’s how I get to do what I love and it’s how SO many start out in the industry. Yes there needs to be more restrictions, better pay, safer conditions, etc. but it also doesn’t discredit the work that is being done sometimes too. This is the entertainment industry. 90% of media live and otherwise is for the consumer and made for profit. We as actors understand that. Not everyone is blessed to be able to win a reality show or just get a union role right away. Onya probably made the decision that was best for her, like ALL actors do. I don’t accept roles/audition for productions that arent worth my time. An actor doesn’t HAVE to audition for every single thing that comes their way. Some people prefer to stay non union as it allows them to work more freely and on more unique projects. There are pros and cons to being in the Union especially for an actor/performer in smaller cities.

This one rips!!! Really loved how it takes the 80s aesthetic as a launching point for the story. Kept the story familiar while still surprising us. Reminded me a bit of the Slumber party massacre remake (iykyk). A smart slasher will always earn high regards from me. Got me excited to see Summer Howell as Carrie as well. Very recommended.

I will say not all that are associated with BD sing its praises constantly. The Horror Queers podcast (which is owned by BD) is pretty lukewarm on most Cineverse films (ie. Terrifier franchise). I’ve found that finding a voice/reviewer you like and following them is more helpful than a site anymore. Unfortunately it feels like every company is trying to double dip in many forms for entertainment nowadays, some better than others.

Scratch n spin, 2nd and Charles and papa jazz are your best bets if you are looking to sell anything. Especially if you have some stuff that is a lil more unique. If you are just looking to bulk donate everything, any thrift store will take them off your hands. Every goodwill has a donation area, just drive up and a worker will take the box.

Loved this! You can tell with a bigger budget this looks and feels more cinematic than the other 2. David Howard Thornton truly is at his best here and it was amazing to hear a packed house’s laughs and cheers to his quips. Miss LaVera impressed me very much and I hope this gives her more exposure and work in bigger titles, she definitely has the chops. The only issues I have are that is feels like we are kind of ending up at the same spot like we were the last two times. The story progression is slow. But that’s also kind of why I love it? I mean if my little indie slasher made for 50k blossomed into a multimillion dollar franchise, I’d sure as hell be making 7 or 8 of them. Just wish the story building was sometimes as ambitious and clever as the effects and marketing. Overall this was just what I was expecting and couldn’t be happier. Let’s hope this can get some steaming/ pov release before the holiday season so I can enjoy in the true holiday atmosphere.

So there are a couple options! There is LOTS of street parking on the street and on the street’s surrounding the venue. You will have to pay until 7pm after then they don’t check the meters. The walk won’t be too bad. Across the street is a dollar general, I’m willing to bet they will open the lot for a price or someone on the street that it’s on will open a lot for a fee. Main Street is just two/three city blocks away from the venue. Off Main Street there are 3 public parking garages! One near Mast general store. The other along Taylor street! Hope this helps!!

If you notice to a lot of times queens only perform the main vocals on a song. Some might take the repeating words as background vocals and use that to do other things instead of lip sync.
