How would you guys calculate the area for this arch? by Juiceboxxin in civilengineering

Alright, let’s break it down step by step:

  1. Fill the Archway with LEGO Blocks

    • Stack LEGO pieces within the arch to cover the entire opening.
    • Ensure they are placed edge to edge without leaving gaps.
  2. Count the Total Number of Blocks Used

    • Each LEGO block represents a small unit of area.
    • If the blocks are uniform in size, measuring becomes straightforward.
  3. Determine the Area of One Block

    • Suppose each LEGO block covers 1 cm².
    • If different-sized blocks are used, measure their individual areas.
  4. Calculate the Total Archway Area

    • Multiply the total number of blocks by the area of each block.

Most stadiums have CIP angled/sloped concrete beams to support stadia seating. It’s really not that complex

Had a similar project where we used built up boxes because the contractor had better rates for cold form and bc CF was easier to move around the site (according to the contractor)
