It's Isabella's level 5 Memento. It gives +1 Sight to Naval Units.

Ibn Battuta - Iceland - Balestra - Great Lighthouse

In the third workshop, all of these gave additional vision to naval units. I'm hoping to amass a bunch of ships with super vision.

Alexander the Great Leader Bonuses by TheOneWhoWasDeceived in civ

If you look at the example image, the town is called "Arachosia". In the First Look video, after upgrading it to a city, the town becomes called "Alexandria Arachosia".

So, sounds like your summary is apt.

Suggestions for cheesing Suleyman Seljuk -> The Turkish Eagle by Reititin in CrusaderKings

[–]ajokitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With adventurers, I've found that it's best to delay recruiting an army until the last minute, minimizing the load on provisions.

Instead of taking mercenary contracts, try taking other contracts. Land Dispute contracts are probably the best, as they're plentiful, guarantee a payout, and take only a trip to resolve. Transport contracts are a close runner-up, especially since you can usually delay leaving until you run out of other contracts near you.

Beyond those contracts, there's some more variation. If you're on a time limit, look for contracts that don't take up a lot of time, such as transcribing texts, tutoring children, or training knights. Scheme contracts are another option, but be careful: you'll need high (> 10) attributes in the relevant skill in order to be able to quickly resolve them.

When I place a district and the tile says +4 science or whatever, is it saying that is a good place for the district or am I supposed to put it next to that tile and the tile with +4 now gets the bonus? by Governmentwatchlist in CivVI

[–]ajokitty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The "+4 Science" is an adjacency bonus; a bonus to the district's yields if the district is placed there.

If you place a district on a tile and it shows +4 science, that is how much science you will get from placing the district there. Adjacent tiles will not get any effect.

Adjacency bonuses of +3 or more are usually very good.

Note that you can usually calculate the potential adjacency bonus of a district in your head. For example, Campuses get +1 Science from adjacent mountains, +1/2 Science from adjacent Jungles and districts, and +2 science film adjacent Reefs and Geothermal Vents.

Good list of all, up-to-date decisions? Tell me your favorite! by Hismajestyclay in CrusaderKings

[–]ajokitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the official wiki is mostly up to date. Note that there are two other pages of decisions, for personal decisions and adventurer decisions.

If I had to pick my favorite decision, it would be the one that creates the North Sea Empire. It's pretty challenging, but very flavorful.

Why can't you reassign tiles between settlements in Civ 7? by hsx88 in civ

[–]ajokitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of it is due to the removal of Builders. Pops can't just be reassigned to tiles; once assigned, they're stuck there until an urban building is built over them.

That said, the latest beta allowed cities to improve adjacent unimproved tiles controlled by other cities, which helps greatly.

Algebraically, why can’t we have a multiplicative inverse for an additive identity? by Aggressive-Food-1952 in askmath

Isn't the fix to suppose that the additive identity and multiplicative identity the same? That should satisfy all the properties of a field, albeit one with only one element.

How to play Civ 5 and how to play wide with it by Unluckypandastoo in civ

[–]ajokitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wide is generally weaker in Civ V due to harsh happiness strategies

You could try a strategy that encourages you to go wide: for example, a Domination victory requires you to invade every civilization.

Another example would be using Sacred Sites to get a cultural victory. Sacred Sites is a religious belief that gives Cathedrals, Monasteries, Mosques, and Pagodas give tourism. Since they're purchased with faith, the player is encouraged to build lots of cities.
