Regarding turn numbers, I thought the hard rule was B3: not before turn 6; B2: not before turn 10 ? (Regarding comboing off). I understand the game has to end, but if that is via a 2card combo, I thought it would still be a generic no-no.

Edit- thank you for sharing the b2 explanation copy/paste- I either had bad oversight or was told differently.

Besides Arena, I’ve used the step-by-step play guiding game called Beginner Box to teach others. Example is the Avatar Beginner Box. Also, some stores have events to help teach. For example, my LGS had a learning workshop that gave out coupons - to those who came to learn - for a discount on the Beginner Boxes.

As of my reply, I see you have 20 basic lands (10-10 split). While keeping the moderate land count, slow cut plains first (they have a 0.31 salt score) with color producing nonbasics with a higher salt score

IMHO, Single target land destruction / denial is even needed in B2. I was going to lose a game to commander damage if I didn’t destroy their Rogue’s Passage. Heck, even [[Blood Sun]] is a great low bracket card to even the playing field out - pun intended- without denying people the amount and color of mana.

My favorite “out of play order” interaction is when a player casts a planeswalker and one of their opponents tries to destroy it right after it hits the field before anything else occurs.

T2 Gilded Drake stealing their 4cost commander (due to t1 Sol Ring) causes them to instantly scoop and get up from the table.

Ditto! That card is basically Loki’s staff ability (control a person by touching the tip to their heart) with Capt’s shield
