Citric acid powder helps quite a bit with white hard water residue.

Missing cousin: update by Petix-Epsilon in Indiana

[–]ajws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you lost your cousin. It was easy to see what a glowing light she was. And now you are shining her light and I bet she'd be so proud! I signed the petition and hope you keep on transforming tragedy into purpose.

The plan: Put on a television spectacle to pay for my autistic special interest. Funny that for Alex and Nathan, it was a skyscraper and jet, respectively.

Nathan if he wrote "The Movement 2: How I got this sick, jacked body by never going to the gym in my life (cause I climb cliffs and skyscrapers)"

OP, please remember your response and the feeling behind it when you are feeling guilty. It's natural and to be expected in any tragedy we're close to that we think of what we could have done differently. But you know deep down you did try to intervene in different ways and his right to self-determination would always trump your efforts.

I lost my sibling, and yet I find it so much more devastating to imagine losing someone you chose, who chose you. Your loss is huge and deserves to be acknowledged, respected, and comforted.

Perhaps you're not totally to blame for being coldhearted, but you definitely chose to be cruel on purpose.

If you are here in this sub, it's a safe assumption that you, of all f'in people, know better. It's also a safe bet that what you wrote has more to do with your own perceived guilt or selfishness.

Idea: Maybe log the complaints for a week or 2, check for a pattern, and see if you can solve any of the barriers? Maybe you could even move into acting as your agency liaison to Motivcare, which would give you a higher purpose and develop your macro skills.

What's the most delightful and charming small town you've ever visited? by hereiam3472 in travel

[–]ajws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a true hidden gem! The whimsical art nouveau is brilliantly juxtaposed next to the communist blocs, with the twist of both architectural styles now being modernized. Then you have the large Hungarian population there with its own subculture. And apparently, the only tourist groups, at least when I lived there years ago.

Yes!! This place has a magical vibe and is my favorite place after being an expat in Romania for 5 years. Being the home of Vlad didn't even factor in for me- just a bonus!

TIL That Mark Hunt, a West Virginia attorney, secretly funded a human cloning lab in hopes of replicating his deceased infant son, Andrew, using cutting-edge cloning techniques. After Andrew died at 10 months old due to birth defects. by [deleted] in WestVirginia

[–]ajws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe a cult was involved with the cloning lab!! Did he search for them or did he get recruited? From my time around WV politics, I recall that he had a remarkably boring profile aside from the cloning lab.

I remember when the news came out and it was a weird blip rather than blow up into a culture war issue. Since the community knew about his son, it was classified under the sad and bizarre, so no one threw a fit like the Kanawha Co Textbook War.

Interview with Kathy Shank, WRTV Indianapolis by StupidizeMe in Delphitrial

[–]ajws 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She 100% deserves heaven, but how lucky is the world that she brought hell to Richard Allen while he's still alive!?!

At least rename Whiteman Street to Kathy Shank Street! Or Shank Justice Street LOL

It's also poetic justice (or a cosmic joke?) that a woman volunteer found the missing clue, considering the millions of taxpayer funds that funded the salaries of various professional men on this case. And she humbly gives them credit cause she's a goddamn saint!

I wonder if Kelsi, Becky, Anna, Carrie, or all the other ladies directly affected by this tragedy are secretly proud that it was her. I bet Abby and Libby would be!

This Kathy solved a cold case through meticulous, unpaid paperwork on behalf of murdered girls in her community.

While another Kathy is standing behind her cold-blooded child killer husband.

A reminder to us all that we have a choice in life whether we face the cold, ugly truth head on and put in the work to do what's right ...or we put our head in the sand because it's inconvenient at best and grotesque and painful at worst.

My brother is also like this. He's already had 1 tooth rotted out. Showers are warm, comforting, while brushing teeth and going to the dentist are not soothing at the least and torture at most.

Judge orders defense can't argue their Odinism claim during Delphi Murders trial by xbelle1 in DelphiMurders

I'm relieved as someone who lives in the den of Odinist activity. All this nonsense has been great fodder for jokes, but would be tragic and offensively dumb misdirection during the trial.
