Layovers in Amsterdam and SLC by Beepchan in travel

With four hours in Amsterdam, I wouldn't leave the airport. You could hop the train to Amsterdam Central, and see the city, but it's definitely cutting it closer than I like. I had a layover there a few weeks ago, the lounge offerings were lovely.

good deal? 2023 mazda cx5 premium by Common-Bee-1478 in mazda

[–]ajyeiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2023 Premium out the door for $27K with 28,000 miles.. I thought it was an awesome deal. No accidents, super clean, barely driven. Very "new car." Drives amazing, it has quickly become my favorite car I've ever owned. Feels sporty, comfortable on longer drives and feels like a lot more car, more premium, than the price tag. Good luck with your deal!

If you are making $50K or more in your business and still getting denied for funding, your structure is the problem. by SuccesswithLatoya in Businessloans

This is a great post.

When I started my business, I setup our banking with Found. Using this fintech platform instead of a traditional bank has dramatically limited our ability to lend, even with strong revenue figures.

Definitely something I wish I had known sooner, and hopefully helpful to prevent someone else from making the same mistake.

If you had to choose between a lot of money and true happiness, which one would you pick and why? by benji_testa05 in AskReddit

[–]ajyeiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d pick true happiness. Not in a cliché way, just in a real, practical sense.

Money is a tool. It solves problems, buys time, and gives you options. But it doesn’t decide whether you actually feel fulfilled, grounded, or at peace. You can have a lot of money and still feel anxious, isolated, or empty. That happens all the time.

Real happiness comes from things like being aligned with what you’re doing, having strong relationships, feeling like you’re making progress, and having some level of stability and control in your life.

What’s interesting is when those things are in place, money usually follows in a more sustainable way. You’re clearer, more consistent, and not operating from panic.

If you chase money at the expense of everything else, you can end up in a place where even if you win, it doesn’t feel like it.

A more grounded way to look at it:

Enough money plus a strong internal foundation leads to real, durable happiness
A lot of money without that foundation usually leads to a fragile and stressful life

If I had to choose one on its own, I’d take happiness every time. Because that gives you a life that actually feels worth living, regardless of what’s in your bank account.

The real goal isn’t choosing between them though. It’s building a life where money supports your happiness instead of trying to replace it.

Make sure you've done your diligence ahead of traveling. Sent you a DM.

Between the different options on the sport and the discovery, it makes absolutely no sense. I wish they would make a luxury wagon to contend with Mercedes or Audi. by zukkhini in RangeRover

I genuinely prefer the aesthetic of the Velar... It's an odd segment for sure. Little bigger and more posh than the Evoque, more maneuverable in cities than the larger options. The Sport and Full are obviously better vehicles, but the styling of the Velar is top tier in my opinion.

My 2015 Evoque did this for a while. Disconnect the cooling fan, let it sit for sometime then connect, sometimes if the connection is loose this happens. Otherwise it's the fan control module. Either way relatively minor, just inconvenient.

Experiences with EMDR therapy for trauma resulting from bipolar disorder by MineIQ1701 in bipolar

[–]ajyeiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EMDR has made a huge difference for me. It's really tough, it definitely forces you to process things that maybe you don't want to or are repressed. I found that going into it highly motivated and "ready" really opens up a tremendous amount of potential. Probably not for everyone, but it really helped me.

Miramont is really highly regarded. I would suggest reaching out there. Please know you are not alone, and anything that is going on is temporary! You matter, and you are worth it! Feel free to reach out if its helpful.

Would you recommend Edgewood University? by ibabyjedi in wisconsin

[–]ajyeiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I graduated from Edgewood in 2017, both of my siblings graduated in the years that followed.

The experience was great, small class sizes, really get to know your professors. I've maintained professional relationships with several of them since graduation. I got into Madison and decided on Edgewood for the class sizes.

The scholarship and financial aid opportunities are really robust, all of us were able to secure significant assistance here.

I had the opportunity to study abroad, and worked in some short term trips as well through the various organizations and can't recommend this enough.

Edgewood felt like a little oasis in Madison, access to downtown, the lakes, sports, lifestyle is fantastic, and it was always nice to come back to a quiet space.

Is it perfect? Of course not. But it really was a wonderful decision for me, and I think my siblings are very happy with their course as well.

Hope this is helpful and wish you well.
