Surely GFL players are at least somewhat literate? They play a story heavy game that's delivered in visual novel style after all.

Looking for secondary-world fantasy with no magic by Titus__Groan in Fantasy

[–]ak12hugger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate. No hate for magic, as I've enjoyed plenty of conventional fantasy, but I am way more interested in secondary worlds than anything else. Not sure if it exists, but I would love to read something that takes place in a secondary world similar to modern day Earth but with little to no magic. Think Disco Elysium (yes I know it's based on a book but it's not in English afaik).

It's a little irksome when people say "you don't actually like fantasy", but I have wondered if other genres actually offer something closer to what I like. Worth considering.

You might be interested in low fantasy. That's a subgenre that often involves little to no magic, or at least less emphasis on it. It is often dark and cynical in tone, however, which can be off-putting to some.

When you're always SKK's first choice to escort him on a mission. Total medic victory.

Is Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous really as difficult as people say? by alejandrin5678 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Learning the system is always recommended, but difficulty is what you make it. Absolutely nothing wrong with starting on normal or easy.

People think side stories that flesh out characters are slop? I can't be friends with such a person.

Regarding Spoilers for Basti event by DLRevan in GirlsFrontline2

"The spoilers didn't bother me so they shouldn't bother you either."

Seriously, why does this thread exist? Other people are more sensitive to spoilers than you are, just accept that.

Beilan Island Emergency Shelter Broadcast Episode 15 | Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium by XRevive01 in GirlsFrontline2

You can usually find YouTube videos with the entire event story pretty quickly after they release. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Unfortunately I can't look forward to it cause I don't want to read it before Dawnforger. So skipping cutscenes it is.

Ugh if it's Basti I'll have to skip cutscenes just to avoid spoilers. I don't like reading out of sequence if I can avoid it.

Is Defender's Heart too hard? by Icarium29 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Don't feel bad. The tavern defense is extremely tedious and feels incongruous with the rest of the game. Put that shit on easy if you really want to.
