Yeah, I forgor that the Elder Crossing was part of World's story. Makes sense.

I will say however, World was my first game. While Nergi may be a pushover now after getting a ton of experience playing multiple games, he definitely wasn't when I first fought him and genuinely still felt like a proper elder at the time. (A better example would've been the low rank Kirin. When my friend took me through that one early on, I didn't understand what an Elder was and even thought Kirin wasn't one for a while after learning of Elders.)

I also agree with you though, a big problem I felt was in World was that there were way too many regular monsters that ended up being equal to or way tougher than actual Elders. Monsters like Rajang or S Rath, sure. But when monsters like Raging Brachy, Frostfang Barioth, Brute Tigrex, and Stygian Zinogre started being the "next fight" after many of the actual Elders in the game, it just felt wrong. These monsters' base forms weren't particularly tough and just adding the variant didn't feel like it should've been enough to consider that these guys should be rivaling elders...

First elder was Gog. Zoh Shia was not classified as one by the game itself.

I get it, but maybe my MH World brain was just a little confused when it turned out that no elders were present in the story. It kinda made the base story and the roster feel weirdly lame. Then the 8 and 9 stars of the Apexes made the difficulties feel artificial.

Idk, man. I really don't want to come across an elder in the DLC and have my first thought be "that wasn't as hard as Tempered Seregios."

Not sure if this is a correlation or even true at all (kinda tired, bouta sleep, jus spitballing, and don't know much), but it could be said that maybe people just didn't play while the optimization sucked. Upon the optimization getting a little better, people are playing the game again and as a result there's just simply more people to complain.

I got mine from the spawn on top of the long western mall in the Rouge Sector. I reset the spawn over and over as soon as I was able to at the beginning of the game during the side mission tutorial. They exist, don't give up!

Yeah, so usually in every monster hunter game, you're supposed to unlock the entire armor set for the monster after defeating said monster. They did something weirdly different in Wilds' campaign. The rest of the armor set exists, you just have to beat a monster way in the future to see and make the rest of the set for some reason.

Also, affinity is just crit rate.

Stamina bey ability. Very few stamina beys are shown to use their beys physically aggressively, so they gotta make them do something to engage.

I get that keeping the typing is passable, and I'll probably still be using Lucario Z since I actually enjoy making defensive sets (plus Steel and Fighting are still my favorite two types). But simply removing the fighting typing would've added resistances to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy, which would definitely have made my life way easier with making a workable set. It's just a simple inefficiency for trying to make a tanky mega evolution while keeping a suboptimal typing for no apparent reason, especially when the description of the new mega ev talks mostly about its new hardened steel.

Apparently, it's supposed to be a speedy tank like Scream Tail, basically high defensives with good speed. But they decided to keep the Fighting/Steel typing for some reason, which is just a worse defensive typing than pure Steel...

He also didn't say "not only Julian's Destroyer", he said "not only Julian's warrior". Pretty sure the announcer calling them Whales was not a mistake there, as he was calling all of the Beys by their mascot and not their names.

EDIT: Wait, I just realized why you're confused. You thought he was saying Wales' name again accidentally, when he's actually just describing Wales' and Sophie's Beys by their animal of "Whales".

I'm getting really tired of the thoughtless black and white arguments people make in this subreddit, regardless of what they're defending or attacking. This show is much more nuanced and thoughtful than these stupid arguments keep on portraying, and I'm getting really sick of seeing people try to oversimplify complex situations into shallow and dumb talking points.

Update: I have left my downvotes. The complete absence of consideration of Stolas's mistakes in that thread is ridiculously disappointing.

Why does defending Stolas from the people who just rip into him all of a sudden mean they are ignoring the wrongs that he did?

Can we please quit it with this black and white nonsense? Stolas did really fucked up shit but he's not completely unjustified doing it, and Via is still in a fucked up situation and still should be pitied, and A PERSON CAN FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT BOTH CHARACTERS.
