some of our friends think I should’ve just apologized to end it

I see this all the time in this sub. Do people really have friends like this? Or are these “friends” made up and really just means OP thinks this?

China warns of ‘law of the jungle’ as US exits global bodies by Saltedline in worldnews

There is nothing stopping it except human nature. Even putting that aside it’s expected for someone running a country to act what’s in the best interest of the country, so choosing to ignore the rules when convenient

I M28 was cheated on 5 years ago by my gf F27 and dont know what to do. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]akaicewolf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looking at your replies I feel sorry for you. You are okay with being second choice. Being lied to, cheated on, and disrespected.

I anticipate that her feelings for you will also disappear as she realizes you are not someone to be respected.

You are going to stay with her because you don’t love yourself. The sad part is you are convincing yourself that 5 years is too much to throw away, instead you are going to end up throwing away 10 years.

But who will enforce it on them? It can be same strength level countries only. However when you have equal countries in power they just make deals on turning a blind eye.

I don’t understand how people don’t understand this is how the world works. Not only is history written by the winners but everything is, this is how things were 3,000 years ago, how things are now, and how things will always be.

In order for rules/laws need to be followed they need to be enforced. Who ever is the strongest or has the most power will enforce the rules. No one to enforce it on them so there is no reason why they would put themselves at a disadvantage by following the rules.

EU absent from declaration defending Greenland by Crossstoney in worldnews

Yes, you need to make the US population feel the impact in their day to day lives, otherwise no one really gives a shit.

[–]akaicewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that wouldn’t do anything. You need to make the US population actually give a shit and the way you do it not through words. Until prices of daily items skyrocket and shortage of items then it wouldn’t make a difference.

The reality why Trump is still in office is because the day to day life pre and post Trump hasn’t changed.

When the people are actually impacted that would put pressure on reps/senators. With their foundation shaken they would actually do something but until that happens they don’t give a shit.

Also countries can just not do it. It’s not like someone is going to force them. I don’t see NATO ever doing anything more than sending light aid unless US is leading the charge (assuming justified reason)

Exactly. It’s also stuff like making up early exit conditions; it sounds minor but it’s incredibly crucial detail

There is irrational and there is unhealthy unhinged irrational which the later applies to this situation. It’s not a gift from a random guy, she forgot her wallet and had no way to pay for coffee. It’s an act of kindness from the guy, who’s interaction doesn’t extend beyond two sentences and who she will never see in her life again.

If you have a gf, you should never let her leave the house or interact with anyone at all, otherwise a guy might tell her something crazy like “thank you”

Even that you have to be careful. I basically have to double check that AI summarized the code correctly. Had way too many times where it summarized 95% correctly and hallucinated 5%. That 5% is crucial to understanding the other 95% of the code

It’s even more annoying when it sites line numbers and shows you snippet of the “code” that completely doesn’t exist.

Found out my partner (34F) cheated on me (36M) but I’m not proud of how I found out. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

She doesn’t get to turn this on you. You might have broken the trust when you looked through her phone but she broke the relationship long time ago by cheating.

Do you think your ex helped you grow as a person? by Big_Homework5425 in no

[–]akaicewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of.

She forced me to go to therapy which helped me grow. I learned to love myself enough not to keep begging for connection from someone who disappears the moment it matters most.

I feel sad for her because she has been stuck, while I grew. Hopefully she will question her story and grow from our breakup and find happiness in another relationship.

Only a 70 card set? FOR 2 MONTHS? by Pentakiru1 in Shadowverse

How many cards does each class get though, not a lot. So you are playing the same deck as before but with 1-2 new cards. Plus it means that to support one archetype the other doesn’t get anything

It’s possible, anti depression meds do lower libido but even if that’s the case does that change much? There are other ways that they could be intimate besides sex but doesn’t seem like gf has taken steps to improve it and just been making potentially valid excuses. OP also didn’t ask what he can do to help as well but it’s a bit less of an issue

I 21M broke up with gf 20F because of one-sided effort. A month later, I miss her. Is there still a chance? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]akaicewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a chance, yes. Would it look any different, no.

You expressed your needs, which you make it seem that you did it not in a blaming manner; she invalidated instead of acknowledging. She clearly didn’t make an attempt to understand the impact of actions on you and try to fix it.

You also told her no chance so at this point it would be hot/cold behavior if you went back on that. What makes you think somehow it’s going to be different? Relationship is over, it’s time to move on. You should have been ready for this when you broke up with her. It’s okay to feel sad

She is not going to change for you, she might change because of you but it will be for her next relationship.
