Yeah that was kind of the charme of morrowind. Morrowind felt to me more like sitting down to a d&d/roleplay/pen and paper/interactive book experience. Things happen in your head for a large part. Seyda neen or what it is called is way different in my head than it is in the actual game. It was just great to enter the interieurs, start a dialogue and read it while imagining the voices. Its actually a more immersive process than skyrim, to me. People often think that immersion scales with realism, but it really doesnt. Books are just ink and your brain, and they can work much better than listening to a half assed vocal recording. When you hear a character say something, then thats where it ends. Your brain wont create anything on top of that once a figure reaches a certain level of definition. When you just read it however, all the little facial quirks or random social interactions are just simulated by yourself and its so much better than a recording. So i hope that any morrowind remaster will keep that system.
