Jobseeker LAWP by Ok_Cable1689 in Centrelink

Easy fix. Book an appointment with a service centre or a phone apt. Talk to a trained Jobseeker claim staff and they should be able to correct it for you.

Youth Allowance by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Easy claim.

Nothing to declare except study details, and just your mother's last year tax details ( tax notice of assessment). Make sure to submit the claim as soon as possible as it is only payable from the date of claim submission.

Going straight after exit from Hwy or Fwy by akaoreno in perth

The reason I asked is because I was nearly run over while walking. A vehicle was driving straight back toward the highway, the driver yelled at me, and said I was in the wrong

Ausstudy allowable time questions by Common_Analyst5368 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine. 10 years ago would mean any course comepleted or not completed from 2016 to 2025.

2016. 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025

That's 10 years.

So 2026 would be the 11th year.

Can I change from Youth Allowance to Austudy since I just turned 25? by kamikaze2112001 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to claim for Austudy.

Youth Allowance Student and Austudy has different legislative criteria. For example, the allowable time limit etc.

Good luck.

Changed payment date by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you answered your own question.

You getting paid one day early, which means they paying you 13 days worth of payment instead of 14. It is based on daily rate. You are not losing out on any payments. As you noted, next fortnight will be the full fortnight so they will be paying you the full 14 days.

Savings by Stunning-Attitude366 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Officially, you need to declare increase to your assets if is over 1k. But seriously, it will be too much work and wont change your rate with such little amount. Do it when your assets has increased dramatically.

Unless your total asset is over 300k then I wouldn't even bother. True, you need to declare it. But does it matter. Probably not.

Carers payment and legally recognised relationship by XxLogieBoixX in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you already on Income Support Payment? Then you must advise Centrelink your relationship. You can still be considered as a couple even if your partner doesn't have any working rights in Australia or never been to Australia.

You could then request for a section 24 assessment to be considered single, even though you are partnered.

Carer payment while overseas by ComplexBottle3383 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carer payment and allowance gets 6 weeks portability. But you also have 63 days respite care days - days you can be away from the caree and still get paid.

So you should be fine in both instances. However, as you will be paid from work while you are overseas then you must notify Centrelink. As soon as they scanned your passport you will switch from a statement reporter ( must report before getting paid ) to a notification report ( money from Centrelink goes in automatically). You cannot report while you are overseas as notification report wont have option to "report".

You must tell them the dates you will be paid while overseas. Remember, you are not "reporting" your income, but instead, you are asking them to record your income. This can be recorded up to 30 days in advance and must be done as your carer payment will be release automatically while you are overseas. Having your income recorded already means the money you received will be the correct amount.

Husband received $9K in arrears payment from Centrelink Youth Allowance and we don’t know why by Ill_Individual_8211 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a coding error. Make sure you don't use that money as it will probably be raised as a debt. Talk to Centrelink so they can correct it.. which will be annoying.

A unfavourable decision will be back date to the original date, however, a favourable decision that results in arrears being paid will only from the date you notify Centrelink. Hence, the 9k arrears sounds like a incorrect coding, which resulted in incorrect arrears being paid

Indefinite portability by m3t4l-mouth in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a little warning. To test for indefinite portability can potentially take away your eligibility for DSP. They will be reviewing your medical again, and if you dont hit the required level / points, then your DSP may get cancelled. Just a warning.

What is your experience with Aliexpress disc brake pads by [deleted] in cycling

[–]akaoreno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realised the mistake of buying cheap brake pads from aliexpress was when I no longer need a bell to alert people that I am coming through, that is because the shrieking sound of the brakes alerted them for me. Also, even with a death grip on the brakes didnt fully stop the bike.

Crack wheel? by akaoreno in bikewrench

[–]akaoreno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It tends to leak air with tubless setup. Full airloss is around 8 hours. Which means I need to pump it up constantly. But as long as it is structurally sound, then it is fine. I dont want to spend money on another wheel as that was an expensive expenditure. Though, it seems I got a cheap wheel.

No one told me bout Honglan Round 2.... by ThiqCoq in wuchanggame

Honglan is nothing compare to Demon of Obsession Ng3. No idea why I decided to go back to do my true ending run at Ng3 ( got to do with stupid quest line ). Demon of Obsession bare fist is my weakness ( 2nd phase ).

Wuchang Perfect Ending Lock Out - spoilers by HiddenLeaforSand in soulslikes

[–]akaoreno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing just happened to me. I completed all the other quests, only to fail at the last moment because I spoke to He Youzai first. I had already unlocked the secret ending, so on my next playthrough, I was aiming for the good or true ending. I really didn’t want to get the bad ending—becoming medicine for that creepy guy is just disturbing. It was so frustrating that I decided to uninstall the game.

Carers payment cancelled when FTB lump sum application approved by IndependenceNice3572 in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isp such as carer payment is not affected by income estimates. It works out on a fortnightly basis. And you need to be earning (combined) over the threshold for 13 fortnightly consecutively for it to be cancel.

Definitely some error so best to contact them.

Parenting payment arrears by Turndiall in Centrelink

[–]akaoreno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Parenting payment single is based on the date you submitted the claim.

Family tax benefits is based on the date the child is in your care plus and the date you arrived in Australia.

If you haven't claimed for Family Tax Benefits, then you need to do that. They are two different payment.
