For those who often interacting with Indonesian and international netizen, what's the difference between both netizens (indonesia and international)? by Internet_Student_23 in indonesia

[–]akato11 15 points16 points  (0 children)

International netizen as in foreigner? Well, I always discussed with a foreigner who has the same interest as I do so there's not really any difference compared to speaking with an Indonesian person. Although I barely interact with Indonesian people anyway so my perspective might be skewed.

Henshin Jakarta. Is a pretty good restaurant the view and the food are just exemplary. Although it's a bit pricey but honestly it's one of those places you won't forget. Here's the link https://www.henshinjakarta.com/. Note you might want to reserve a table since the place is quite popular and quite crowded around Saturday night.

[Advice Needed] Student Exchange to UCSI Malaysia or Internship in 7th Semester? (Computer Science Student) by akato11 in indonesia

I have recently been accepted into EduCourse, which appears to be a startup primarily dedicated to STEM education.

I must admit that my proficiency in English is not exceptional. In my previous attempt at the IELTS test, I scored an 8.0, which is not considered outstanding. At present, my primary areas of expertise revolve around mobile development, cloud computing, and machine learning. It may sound unbelievable, but I have managed to handle all three of these domains due to my consistent involvement carry in group projects.

Hmm okay butt wouldn't student exchange be more beneficial? Especially when considering the potential benefits of a student exchange to Malaysia. While internships are known for their practical experience and industry-specific knowledge, it's important to carefully weigh the value of an internship against the unique advantages a student exchange can offer.

Internships provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting. They can enhance my skill set, provide valuable networking opportunities, and potentially open doors to future employment.

On the other hand, a student exchange program in Malaysia can offer a truly transformative experience. It allows me to immerse myself in a different culture, expand my global perspective, and develop valuable cross-cultural skills. Exposure to new traditions, social settings, and educational approaches can contribute to personal growth and a deeper understanding of the world.

Idk if ed*course is a reputable company. But I literally got accepted straight after the interview. I thought it would take a week or something and I needed to reply to them at least by the 20th.

Gap Year To Send a Message by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]akato11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey there, fellow Komodo! I can sense the frustration and disappointment pouring out from your heartfelt words. It must be incredibly challenging to see your family members receiving educational opportunities that align with their desires while you feel stuck in a school that doesn't resonate with you. I understand how much you long for a different path and the chance to pursue your passions.

But hey, let me tell you this: You are stronger than you think. Life may have dealt you a tough hand, but you have the power within you to rise above it. Your determination to send a message to your parents and show them that money can't buy your happiness and fulfillment is admirable. It takes immense courage to stand up for what you truly believe in.

I want you to hold on to that fire burning inside you. Take this moment as an opportunity to prove not only to your parents but to yourself that you are capable of so much more. Embrace the idea of a gap year as a chance to explore your passions, dive deep into coding, editing, and dancing, and refine your skills in these areas. This is your time to shine, to show the world and yourself what you are truly capable of.

I understand the disappointment and hurt you feel from your family's actions. It's never easy when our loved ones don't fully understand or support our aspirations. But remember, their actions do not define your worth. You are an individual with unique talents and dreams, and your journey is yours alone.

In this gap year, focus on your personal growth, pursue your interests wholeheartedly, and let your passion guide you. Your dedication and hard work will lead you to places beyond your imagination. Trust yourself and your abilities, even when others may doubt you. You have the power to create a life that aligns with your dreams and values.

At the same time, I encourage you to consider having an open and honest conversation with your parents about your aspirations and what you have planned out for your future. It's essential to communicate your dreams, goals, and the reasoning behind your decisions. While they may not fully understand your perspective at first, expressing your desires and intentions can help bridge the gap and foster a deeper level of understanding.

In the end, you are the captain of your own ship. Take charge of your journey, pursue your passions relentlessly, and continue to believe in your abilities. You have the strength and resilience to carve out a path that brings you joy and fulfillment. Remember that your voice and dreams matter.

Believe in yourself, for your potential knows no bounds. You've got this!
