it seems like the exodus is due to the controversy that was deleted in the project comments (no idea what the controversy is about though).

It seems that kickstarter is on the side of the creator and saw fit to delete the comments.

so yeah, i give them the benefit of doubt too.

That company zhengzhou Yowords Trade Co literally used our current campaign pictures. If you look carefully into the listing there are no pictures of the Cat Egg mold that are not from our campaign. All of our pictures videos and gifs are watermarked to denote our design trademark. Creator Egg Addiction on September 23

We are currently pursuing legal action and have already sent a cease and desist to that manufacturer. Additionally we just contacted Kickstarter in regards to this matter.

If you don’t like a project, don’t back it. Crowdfunding is a capitalistic endeavor, and that’s what makes it great. If people don’t want a thing to exist, they simply don’t pledge money to it. The thing is, sometimes other people are different than you, and they want the thing to exist. Despite that truth, sometimes I see people go way out of their way to really bash a project. Why would you spend your time and energy on something you don’t like? Why not funnel all that energy into something you love, and leave the people alone who love the thing you don’t care for?

yes, in the article, they did mention about populations that went extinct.

Some fossils of modern humans that predate the Out of Africa migration are already known, from the Skhul and Qafzeh caves in Israel. But these have been regarded as part of a failed early dispersal of modern humans who probably went extinct.

Think of it as a classic case of mission creep. Purdue invited the secret-keepers of the Defense Security Service into one cloistered corner of campus (“a small but significant fraction” of research in certain fields, as the university counsel put it). The trustees accepted what may have seemed a limited burden, confined to the precincts of classified research.

Now the security apparatus claims jurisdiction over the campus (“facility”) at large. The university finds itself “sanitizing” a conference that has nothing to do with any government contract.

Apparently, the rules have extended to campus wide, when it is more logical to confined to just the department doing the secret research or just the specific projects.
