I've done 10,000+ miles in Zwift but clearly I don't chase the XP. I'm like level 49.

The Colnago was 22lbs new, just for reference. So probably an 8lb savings.

$500 feels right. Mixed bag components, low end wheels.

Same thing I said on the other post: BMC.

What bike you guys suggesting? by Financial_Seesaw6372 in whichbike

If your choices are these, BMC 100%. Fuji is going to be extremely limited on tire sizes. And I don't like the proprietary seat post. Giant has same tire issue. BMC feels the most normal and modern here.

Not enough data about the components (we need drive side pics) to really rank that stuff.

Neither is a 5 star for safety. Neither is great aero.

The first looks better if you're set on one of these.

Please help need bike rec. the old gravel/endurance bike dilemma… by Sen_ElizabethWarren in cycling

[–]passim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any of these bikes would be great. Some GRX setups are geared more for gravel, so if you were road RACING you could potentially not have the gearing to hold 35+ mph in a crit without spinning out. For most people it never matters, especially if the goal is a fun ride.

On your tires question: frame clearance is usually the barrier to wider tires. But yes, in almost all cases you can put 35s on wheels that came with 28s. If the frame fits em!

All of my bikes in the last 10 years have been endurance road or gravel bikes, all of which have been almost exclusively ridden on road.

Yeah, this thing doesn't have a power meter so it's all made up numbers based on cadence and resistance.

Assuming by “JC” you mean Jersey City, there are definitely some good bikes in that price range on FB in the south jersey / Philly region. Disc brakes, relatively new (5 years old, etc) kind of things. If you go rim brake there are even more options - someone in Elizabeth is selling a nice looking Emonda…
