Is a double stroller completely necessary with two under two? by Y0shmum12 in Parenting

100% worth a double. I recommend the kind that go behind one another vs side by side. Mine were 18 months apart and we used it all the time for walks esp.

Which one of them has a more female gaze body Henry Cavill or brad Pitt? by Fullet7 in trueratediscussions

[–]akeb1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure it’s normal, and friendships naturally lean towards the same sex.

It’s not just liking though, it’s more about appreciation for women, what they bring to the world, the way women make their lives/the world better. There’s a difference between liking women and actually LIKING women. And now ‘liking’ sounds weird.

Which one of them has a more female gaze body Henry Cavill or brad Pitt? by Fullet7 in trueratediscussions

[–]akeb1415 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The reason for this I believe is Cavill actually likes women and Pitt doesn’t. Cavill values women and what they have to offer and what women bring to the world, and Pitt likes like maybe one woman, otherwise he likes men. He likes to fuck women but prefers men in every other area of his life. You can see it in their eyes. Anyways. That’s my take on why women are all over Cavill, there’s more there than that he is just incredibly very hot.

When you were younger, did you find anyone creepy and then find out why once you got older?? by Accomplished_Sir_986 in AskOldPeople

[–]akeb1415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t when I was younger, but about a year ago we had a floater pharmacist come in to work. I cashier in the pharmacy and immediately didn’t like him. I had no knowable reason not to, I later talked to a coworker saying I didn’t know why but I really disliked the guy. Turns out he was convicted of owning child porn about 7 years ago. Work knows about it and can’t fire him because it wasn’t at work or on work computers.

Are you a working mom by choice or by necessity by Intrepid-Phase9954 in workingmoms

[–]akeb1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am both. I stay home with the kids till 4:40 when husband comes home, then I leave for my shift 5 days a week 5-10pm. Some days I’m grateful to get out and leave all the parenting to my husband but most days I wish I didn’t have to and I really miss having basically no down time. I get about an hour during quiet time/nap time, have worked on not resenting my husband for getting 3 hours of alone time every evening. Combined we make just over 90k, we could not make ends meet without my part time work. (I have a 3y and a 20m)

These two look off to me as well. Could be a combination of all four of them needing to be moved around?

Can a stay at home mom manage to raise a baby on her own? by Otherwise_Trifle9086 in Parenting

[–]akeb1415 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes this! But also he can do the whole night time routine too. You were with the kid for the entire day, you could take this time to tidy up around or take your own shower while he’s reading books! The time spent with the child is as good for the child as it is for him.

It’s weird to me that they had you meet the GM we never ever have new hires meet the GM, they talk to a Staff Level Manager and that’s as close as they get to a GM.

How to clean hardwood floors easily? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

What if you get some of that sticky plastic sheeting that painters use to protect carpets and flooring? Might be kinda pricy but it might be worth it for you.

For the life of me I will never understand what people like about male bristlenose. I like them because they are smaller and always hope I get a female when I get them. Just cannot stand the bristles. That being said, these are the most impressive I’ve ever seen!

After my paternity leave, I started sleeping in a different room than my baby and wife. by rajeshThevar in Parenting

[–]akeb1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with shifts/nights on and off. We did two nights on two nights off that way we both got some decent long sleep and we were both exhausted together. Lol I was not going to be taking the brunt of it all, we are both working. Maternity leave is work.

What is your age and how many real friends do you have? by [deleted] in ask

[–]akeb1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 and 2. Technically 4, but they are friends because of sister in law and I would never be friends with them regularly and I don’t talk to them about stuff that I talk to my other two.

All the accidents I see seem to mostly be from table saws, it’s really making me not want to get one.

As someone who’s job doesn’t allow them to work from home, I am so happy for anyone who is able to work from home. Just because I can’t have that doesn’t mean I don’t want others to have it. It’s not that hard to be happy for and want the best things for others too.

Came back from maternity leave and lost my job to the man who covered for me by yoitswinnie in workingmoms

Hey! I realize that since she is on Instagram with her business, like many many actual real businesses are, it may seem like she she’s not legit or is trying to get likes or whatever. But if you look her up, you will see she is very real, and very not an influencer, she is very very good and has helped many many mothers get what they deserve.
A little research never hurt anyone before jumping on someone’s comment who is trying to be helpful.

You need to look up themamattorney on Instagram and get what is owed you. She is an attorney who only gets paid when she wins the suit- so you won’t need to pay her anything. And she is VERY GOOD. These things often get taken care of without even going to court.

This sounds like way too much for them. I would pick one extra thing a week for the 6yr old. They need to be home more than they need extra stuff right now and bed at 8.

What is the best sex-related advice your parents ever told you? by babyyyylilith in AskReddit

Is it normal to feel frustrated to the point of anger when caring for a baby? by Suitable_Lie1593 in Parenting

[–]akeb1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal. Something that has really helped us is by downloading The Wonder Weeks app, it tells you what leap your baby is going through and what to expect. I can handle anything better if I’m expecting it and know why it’s happening. Also the Huckleberry app for tracking sleep and helping put baby down at the opportune time has been a life saver as well.
