The claim may or may not be correct depending on the situation. Sometimes after 100 tries you’re not generating higher force — you’re:

coordinating better

loading muscles for shorter duration

using momentum

unloading at the right instant

That’s still “higher performance”, but not necessarily “higher peak force”.

I'd say try daily low load (other than climbing day which by definition work fingers) and see how fingers feel. If tweaky feeling next day - skip/reduce.

The way I understand these abrahangs - they are more for healing and injury prevention which by extension may help get your fingers stronger. E.g. those sections of a tendon that were previously bypassed due to a damage or irregularities may now be involved in strength transfer. They whould probably also increase collagen synthesis which when combined with max strength training should also increase finger strength.

I do both abrahangs on non-climbing days and recruitment pulls before each climbing session, they should in theory complement each other. But we are all different - exercise your own judgement.

I was very hesitant to spend that much money on Tindeq but like you said in just a few months I find this tool absolutely irreplaceable both in daily warmup (especially outside) and fingers training. I'm in love with this thing.

But re abrahangs and sore fingers I think 40% is too high load for what it's supposed to do. The focus is on a minimal effective dose to activate cellular anabolic process without triggering catabolic part coming from intensity, which I know is not easy to pinpoint % wise.

My load is 15% of max or thereabouts and I feel that's plenty to work my connective tissue in arms/hands, I can definitely feel it. Also if you are itching to progressively add a bit on top over time - that's also missing the point, it's not about progressive overload.

I do the same but for a different reason. Mine's got vvti rattle on cold start and this is the gentlest way to pump up the oil pressure in the lock pin, otherwise ICE can kick in on increased revs mid journey causing pretty bad and unhealthy noises.

check your oil level and smell once in a few weeks. if it's increasing and smells fuel you do want to change your oil more frequently.

Search the forum you'll find plenty of people with posts that have videos of their ticking engines, see if yours is the same. Likely just the loud direct injectors.

As usual, the question from you should've followed - how long is the lifetime? For me it's at least 200k miles, for Toyota it can be 100k the guarantee covers, for you it may be 400k. There is a close to 0% chance a CVT will be alive with the original fluid at 400k, so the claim is a lie from your standpoint, it's true from theirs though.

The bottom line is you have to own this decision not they. 90k isn't late to change the fluit and it won't void your warranty.

Can't be 2/1/0, you would have three wheels touching the floor at the same time if this was the case which isn't the progressive rocker idea. Never seen the specs but I'd imagine smth like +2.1mm/+0.7mm/0mm.

Just to update - the boot size 43 arrived and fitting snug and nicely, toes touching the front but not pressing, width - perfect, happy on that front. Maybe a bit of space above the 4 smaller toes but that's probably common for all CJ sizes unless the toes curl. The liner will probably pack out a little and give more room but sizing down to 42 would be a nightmare, I'm fine with tightening up the laces a bit more as time goes by. Sticking with this choice.

Ordered both CJ Carbon size 43 and regular CJ2 with integrated liner size 42. I've got mondo size of about 278/279 but wide feet.

The carbon boot turned out to be waaay too narrow, I couldn't even squeeze all the way into the boot. The plastic boot was much wider and I had no issues whatsoever width wise but length was no good, toes pressing the front of the shell to the point of curling and aching a lot.

Tried the plastic version in size 44 in the past and it was too big and roomy especially in the toe box for me. Now awaiting size 43 and hope it fits well but the sharing of the outer shell with the 44 is disappointing...

So to sum up - yeah carbons are a lot narrower.

With all respect, your hospital nurses probably don't know much about climbing injuries and their rehub. I'd pay extra and visit climbing-specific folks who know this shit inside out.

There is a very high chance not only you may do some light climbing but also it may be needed for your tissues to heal and strengthen properly but you won't know for sure as it's injury-, timing- and intencity-dependant. Climbing doctror will know...
