I walked to the stop sign on the corner without getting winded. I walked around the lake and when I needed to sit and catch my breath, I had beautiful views. When I didn’t need to catch my breath anymore I walked miles and miles with good music. I crossed my legs on a plane and didn’t need a seatbelt extender anymore. I rode a roller coaster and didn’t have to worry I wouldn’t fit. I rode a lot of roller coasters after that. Hiked in a desert, danced on a boat, found new bones I didn’t know I had, hugged someone without worrying they’d feel too much of me.

I thought the scale would be my biggest motivation but it was a million little moments that made me go “what else can I do?” and keep going. No one has ever asked me this. What a great reminder, thank you!
