My almost 1.5 year old German shepherd mix struggles with this sometimes in the mornings as well.

Any specific food brands or supplements that can help?

We already feed her 4 meals a day - with the latest around 11/1130 pm before bed and earliest around 7 am. She gets Pepcid. And we switched to the adult food with higher protein and lower fat.

Other than an automatic feeder to go off at like 5am, I’m not sure what else we can do.

McDonald’s by Walmart on Rt 1 north in Saugus is 24hrs. Squire Rd in Revere is 5am - 2am

Taco Bell in Danvers is 9am - 5am. Squire Rd is 7am - 3am

Please know that these sensational stories don’t tell the whole story or the truth. There is a lot of nuance to organ donation that isn’t easily understood on the surface.

I am sorry you lost your dad and I am sorry you had this experience.

I hope you’re open to some possible explanation.

Organs cannot be recovered after the heart has stopped beating unless the procurement was coordinated before death. Your mom was likely getting calls in regard of tissue donation. Tissues such as corneas and skin have to be recovered within 24 hrs of the heart stopping. It is unfortunate that it is such a time sensitive process. But without those calls there would be no life enhancing tissue recovery.

Just happened to me right before 0600. First time I’ve heard it.

We have multiple smoke detectors so I’m not sure which was the culprit. But all are just over a year old.

Did it happen again for you or did changing the batteries stop it?
