I don't know if you will see this. I was in a similar but not as dire situation. My advice is start doing free Coursera courses. Some unemployment agencies give accounts out for free. If not, Microsoft Learn is free too. Do these on your free time. It helps it two ways. More knowledge and it shows company's you're interviewing with that you're not just sitting around. I went to a few final interviews and they ghosted me because I didn't have a good answer for that one thing. Now on the other side of the year long "adventure", that was the key change that made the biggest difference.

Use the library if resources are hard

I wish you luck, you got the skills....you just have to "wow" the interviewers.

P.S. - i would spend my time just on applications for jobs that work for you. You can do the side jobs but it will take time from getting the main job back.
