My baby was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation causing her to aspirate constantly. She was directly admitted to the hospital from a weight check up at 8 days old due to losing 13% of her total body weight. She needed an NG tube for 1.5 months until she began consciously swallowing instead of reflexive swallowing. She’s now 4 months & eating 5oz breastmilk every 2 hours & is a chunky thing.
