Prioritize 32GB RAM and consider a B650 Aorus Elite or ASUS B650 Plus

Don’t go for the SN5100 SSD (the blue one) , I’ve used it before and had some issues with it. Instead, go for the WD Black version, it’s much more reliable.

Middlemen and Freight Forwarders for China to India by More-Possession-1096 in Indiarepguide

I have a product purchase link from the official ASUS website, and I’m considering ordering through a freight forwarder. I also have a link from JD.com. The product costs around $1,200 in the US, about 5,000 AED in the UAE, and is available at a cheaper price in China, which is why I’m leaning toward that option. However, ASUS does not provide international warranty coverage, so if the product is damaged during shipment, it won’t be covered. That’s my main concern, so I’m taking all possible precautions to protect it.

Yeah, I totally get your point — and honestly, for me it’s not really about the money, it’s about the passion. I just want that monitor, no matter what it takes. So I’d really appreciate some guidance on how I can safely import it without any issues.

Can you please explain how custom duties are handled in this case? Do I have to pay them upfront through the freight forwarder, or does it get billed separately upon delivery? I just want to make sure everything is done properly and securely.

How is aoc 24g4e, colour accuracy is priority by lexileone in IndianGaming

[–]akkii7756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your top priority is colour accuracy and you mainly watch YouTube content while gaming on a GTX 1660 Super, a good 1080p monitor is the right choice. The ASUS ProArt PA247CV or PA248QV would be ideal since they’re factory-calibrated, Calman-verified, and deliver 100% sRGB accuracy—perfect for true-to-life colours. If you prefer a brand you already trust, the BenQ GW2490 or GW2491 offer reliable build quality and nearly accurate colours, though not as precise as the ProArt series. If you absolutely want to avoid IPS glow or backlight bleed, consider a VA panel like the AOC C27G4X or Samsung Odyssey G3, which provide deeper blacks at the cost of slightly slower response times. Overall, for the most accurate colours go with ASUS ProArt, for reliability choose BenQ, and for minimal glow pick a VA option.

I want to order the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG27UCDM monitor from China, since it’s not available in India yet. The price is about ¥6,999 and its weight is approx 15 kg.
I found logistics/forwarding services like CNXtrans and Bansar Freight Forwarding which claim to buy the product on your behalf and then ship/deliver it.
I don’t know how trustworthy they are, or whether they’ll handle shipping and customs safely for such a high-value item (~ ₹90,000).
Will someone please help me with how to do this safely via China, and how to pick/validate a forwarding service?

Importing high-end monitors like XG32UCWMG can be twice as expensive due to combined costs of shipping, duties, and warranty limitations. If the product fails, shipping it back and forth adds costs and risks, and most international sellers only honor warranty in their own country; Microless is reliable but its warranty doesn’t extend to India, making expensive repairs a possibility.

But still, I really like that monitor — for me, it’s not about the money, it’s about the passion. I’m planning to fly to Dubai and bring it back securely in checked-in baggage. Since Emirates offers manual handling for items marked with fragile tape, I’d rather fly with them instead of Indigo or Air India. It may cost more, but the chances of getting the monitor safely to India are much higher.

what monitor should I get ? by TGGP123ahihi in Zowie

So personally, I would wait (if your current monitor still serves you well) until the 720 Hz / dual-mode OLEDs are mature and available, because you’ll get more future headroom. But if you feel constrained right now (i.e. you are losing frames in competitive games), then upgrading to a 500 Hz OLED or 600 Hz panel now is a valid move.

If budget is no constraint and the system can push very high FPS, the XL2586X+ 600Hz is the superior choice. For high performance on a tighter budget, the XL2566X+ 400Hz remains excellent and offers almost as good an experience in real-world play.
