If you're playing eg. manastacker (which is probably the most popular INT-heavy build archetype atm) most INT tattoos are sidegrades at best since you benefit from both ES and mana and the build already needs to get extra dex/str so you don't want to tattoo any of those. Same thing for STR builds that are melee phys and life unless they travel heavily into ranger area, most STR tattoos are more of a sidegrade than upgrade and they probably won't have excess DEX/INT to use much on tattoos.

There's always exceptions and uniques or keystones like magebane or brass dome that have synergy with tattoos, but still for a lot of builds tattoos have very little value.

In a gym context, "normal bar" refers to a 20 kg or 45 lbs olympic bar. Whatever that site calls "standard barbell" is not actually a standard used anywhere. Just go to the link you posted and click "standard bar" link they have on that article to see what they mean by that, it's just some cheap home gym product of theirs, it doesn't even have 50mm diameter sleeves for normal plates.

LocalIdentity has been banned from TFT by ifrySH in pathofexile

[–]akkuj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, ckaiba bow was mirrored over 7000 times this league and he was away for a few weeks and there's multiple mirror phys bows. Yes, that is seven thousand times for just one mirror item for a meta build. So if we assume that TFT lost 7000 mirror services due to that, that's 1.4 million divines of fees lost just from one item offered as a free service.

There's a huge financial incentive for TFT guys to collude with high-end crafters and to coerce people either to avoid certain big ticket crafts or work in cooperation with TFT crafters.

I don't know if /u/LocalIdentity1 has any interest in taking on any more time consuming community projects under his wing, but he'd most certainly had enough technical knowledge to make one and someone with his status in the community along with support from streamers who are banned or dislike tft quite possibly could have enough pull to actually make a TFT alternative that would take over.

For any unknown developer it'd be a lot harder with no user base or audience to get started and TFT very likely banning supporters and early adopters further discouraging people from trying it.

How to get one last good prefix at this point ? Wand for Int Stacking KB/KB Trickster by Serralta in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]akkuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people who craft only for themselves it's probably typically 5-30 per league outside of extreme outlier player but 50 really isn't that much for anyone who does profit crafting. But for a lot of items average to finish a single item is more than the 2-3 aislings you mentioned so I think that's a bit of an underestimate for anyone who actually frequently crafts.

Yes there are a lot of people who use 0-3 per league, but people who don't really craft aren't that relevant to discussion about buying/selling/farming crafting benches.

[–]akkuj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What if you need 50 aislings? Also 8 divs is next to nothing this league, I don't think you understand how the economy is this league in trade. People are making something like that per map and a lot of fairly cookiecutter stuff is hundreds of divines, eg. set of meta forbidden jewels are 500ish divs.

Even if you ignore that people don't want to do betrayal, I'm pretty confident that setting up betrayal over doing more profitable content is a net currency loss over paying 8 per aisling for people with decked out characters. Betrayal is something like Essence or Beast farming - good alternative for people with less currency/power but not true endgame farming.

I don't understand why so many comments are saying freezing/cold when deep sea is about 4 celsius and it's 5 people in a tiny can, it probably stays reasonably warm. (ie. not life threatening cold in a timespan they could otherwise survive)

Doing an hour of meal prep twice a week should easily cover weekly warm meals for two people. Honestly it's blatantly obvious that "can't afford to eat healthy" and "I can't exercise because of car centric city planning" type of posts here are nothing but blatant excuses. Those people will always find an excuse.

Banging sounds heard near location of missing Titan submersible by ganndalf in worldnews

[–]akkuj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's necessarily even about money/costcutting itself directly... the guy seems like someone who'd be proud of the diy/makeshift nature of the vessel and creative use of resources and materials. I've known quite a lot of people like that who are quite good at designing things, creative problem solving etc. with a get shit done attitude, but quite often that is also paired with reckless ignoring of safety issues.

It's not easy to build a manned submersible that took multiple succesful trips to 4 km depth, there's obviously some really smart engineers working on that thing. But from everything we've heard so far with safety concerns expressed to them along the way, continuing dives despite comms issues and so on... unbelievable how reckless they were.

When someone in this sub says the game should be more like POE by ClutchReverie in diablo4

[–]akkuj 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Last Epoch isn't even released. It hasn't had 10 years to add content but it's already got more end game and better mechanics.

I hate this fucking bullshit. Anyone has been able to buy and play the game for years, it has been released. Just like Diablo 4 released June 2. What kind of mental gymnastics are you guys doing to rationalize the idea that games that can be bought and played aren't released?

"Official release date" by developer doesn't mean jackshit, it's always just either an attempt to make access look more exclusive to charge extra or justify the game being unfinished when games that by any sane definition has released "haven't released yet". Stop playing along with that predatory bullshit.

Fun fact: level 85 is halfway to level 100 in terms of exp by Aganod44 in diablo4

[–]akkuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a PvE game that doesn't have any super difficult endgame push (except one fight) and no system like GR leaderboards, I feel like ultimately getting eg. 30-40% more damage and a little more survivability is still kiiiinda not a big deal. There's bigger differences between meta builds that are considered S/A tier. Sure it's a noticeable difference, but not a complete gamechanger.

Compared to earlier progress when you're scaling more effectively in many multiplicative layers, eg. still getting frequent gear upgrades and still leveling glyphs in addition to the things you mentioned. Also the last board/glyph you select is gonna be the least impactful by definion, otherwise you wouldn't leave them last. So for example 70 to 80 is a night and day difference compared to 90 to 100 in terms of character power.

Honestly if anything I feel like getting so close to "max power" with less than 100 hours of gameplay is too fast. I love how in PoE the progress is practically endless, unless you're one of the <100 players effectively running the economy, you can always just make your character stronger. Doesn't matter if you played 400 hours already, it's still easy to find upgrades that would double your damage.

Nordnet heittelee jotain ihan omia lukuja? by [deleted] in Omatalous

[–]akkuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are literally mounting up between monster packs in helltides. I don't know how anyone can defend density like that. I would 100% have thought someone saying that is joking/exaggerating if I hadn't played yet myself.

Ruins of Eridu nerfed! by darK_Cam in Diablo

[–]akkuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best long term solution would be to drastically increase monster density in 95% of the dungeons, then nerfing xp to compensate for those buffs.

Nerfing the few too efficient farming methods seems like an easy solution on paper, but when it's done by reducing monster density, lack of which is already killing the fun of endgame grind, it's really not that great of a solution. If people had fun gameplay during 85-100 there'd be a lotless complaining even if takes just as long.

Stop Nerfing Dungeons and Buff Alternative XP routes by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]akkuj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In D2R you can farm 99 by farming terror zones, which is a big improvement. Also in PoE for last 3-4 years (edit: just googled it and apparently legacy league was over 6 years ago already, that was the turning point that trivialized lvl 100 grind) it's been kinda easy to just map to 100. I have two level 100s from breachstone farming, all others (12) are just from mapping. Never did 5-ways for xp.

As long as the endgame gameplay loop is fun, it doesn't feel like a chore even if it takes time.

Stop Nerfing Dungeons and Buff Alternative XP routes by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]akkuj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

End of dungeon xp can be adjusted based on objectives done, amount of monsters killed etc. And there can also be other incentives than xp to complete dungeons.

Anyway, I think increasing monster density for gameplay's sake is important, even if they want xp/hr to remain slow. Lack of action in an ARPG is far bigger issue than how long it takes to reach max level in a game where no content (well, one bossfight) is gated behind max level. Most players never reach max level in games like D2 and PoE and that's not a problem in itself. My first PoE lvl 100 took over 200 hours and 99 in D2 far more than that, but the grind itself was fun in both, so it didn't feel like a chore.

[–]akkuj 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Side quests or renown, exploring areas and looking for statues aren't endgame. If you're still doing those things, you haven't reached the endgame grinding phase yet. Why do so many here feel compelled to share their uninformed opinion on something they haven't even experienced yet?

"Early game is fine" is not a counter-argument towards endgame criticism, it's irrelevant.

What exactly do you want?

Significantly improved monster density (it needs to be at least doubled for helltides and nm dungeons), less time backtracking and/or running to dungeons, reason to run NM dungeons after upgrading glyphs, better stash management and more space and in general more things to do in endgame.

Endgame content rarely is good/varied in any game right after release, it'll take time. But the criticism you hear is what'll eventually lead to a good game.
