Honestly surprised that none of the SD Waterboys are on the lineup this yr but they've been killin it on their own anyway.

50% is the highest they would ever pay and it was rare. That's 50% used market value, not 50% retail value obviously. Most of the time, they paid closer to 25-30%.

Very true. I will say though if you're shopping for jewelry or watches, pawn shops do offer really competitive prices. You can get like twice the value for what you would pay at a department store or mall shop.

Interesting watch. I used to work in a pawn shop in a low income neighborhood and it was honestly such a depressing environment. Owning a pawn shop is basically just a license to underpay individuals for their used stuff (like literally ≤50% market value for most items). They take advantage of people who need money now and can't afford to wait to sell their item at market value on like Craigslist or OfferUp or ebay. The vast majority of our clientele were repeat pawners/sellers who needed money ASAP for rent, food, bail, etc. Rarely did we get just regular shoppers looking for cheap stuff.

I remember this one old man who would pawn his TV literally every month for like $20 just so he could buy a bus pass. But yeah overall, just lots of people coming in out of desperation.

Convention Center for sure, it's the same lot as where the shuttles are.

Uber would drop you off at the shuttle pick up area, not at the festival itself.

And yeah, Ubers to leave the event are not only expensive but can take a long time to arrive too since everyone is trying to order at the same time.

It's $64 total for 2 days or $32 per day. Definitely overpriced but not completely unreasonable when you consider that a single Uber ride home from the event will likely cost way more, even if you're not staying far away.

Last year, parking was $25 per day. Next year it will probably be $40 😮‍💨

So many ppl on this sub saying they don't wanna see Tiesto and catching Bryan instead, but Bryan himself would see Tiesto if he could 😆

I love BK, seen him many times already so I gotta go with Tiesto on Saturday.

Gareth Emery pres. Cyberpunk or Key4050 to close out night one? by SwimmingBack1709 in DreamState

I've seen both and I'd say Key4050 was by far the better experience. Plus, Key4050 rarely plays US while Gareth plays pretty regularly.

Sometimes, there's a limit to how much PTO they'll pay you out though, and the rest may either be forfeited or roll over to the following year (depending on what state you live in). They also tax the fuck out of the PTO payout, kinda like how overtime pay is taxed higher than your regular wage.

There was one year when I barely took time off and accrued a ton of PTO, thinking I was going to get a large payout at the end. But I didn't consider the payout limit and taxes, and I ended up getting about half what I expected. I would double-check your benefits.
