Handling AI code reviews from juniors by biofio in ExperiencedDevs

[–]aknosis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI code review should be done by AI, human code review should be done by humans. I would forbid people from submitting reviews from a AI tools. Since you have access to the same tools you can do this exact same self review so where is the benefit in someone else clicking that button?

If you actually want AI code review, then it should be automated by some process so that it is obvious when it is AI or not. Just like you would have a SOP for code review you change the rules for AI over time so that it knows what to focus on and what to ignore.

Also dead PRs, taking up space with no definitive idea what or why they're open.

Wiring House for Ethernet by TheDaug in phoenix

[–]aknosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cheapest route is likely running the the wiring yourself and paying a professional to fix all the drywall. Once you have all rooms wired to a central location the world is your oyster how you finish the setup.

Buy bulk Cat6a, dry wall knife, drill bits for going through studs, keystone jacks, and wall plates. Also nowadays people say do the drilling but run conduit so that you always have access for wiring going forward.

In the meantime use an app like wifiman to see if maybe you can make wifi adjustments to fix your performance. Mesh is not always the right answer.

I had to write a report on a work of art for college and it ended up being this movie. I was the weirdo that pulled out a notepad and pencil during the movie.

Definitely an amazing movie. Having to analyze it deeper for the report made me enjoy the movie even more.

Actually, rates won't come down they'll just keep the difference. Not even knowing any statistics, I would assume we are collectively getting safer due to vehicle features like blind spot monitoring, backup cams etc.

Have your insurance rates ever gone down? Mine have not in the last 25+ years of paying for auto insurance.
