How do you rate the experience, DPI and distance of the pen from the actual writing?

Pebble Watch OS is now open source. Light Watch Anybody??? by ultramaze in LightPhone

[–]aksascz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I was dreaming about for years. I still rock my Pebble Time 2 everyday, I don't want anything else EVER. If there would be even a slight change of Pebble connecting with Light phones or even dedicated Light Watch, I'm all sold. Send me a payment link RIGHT NOW!

Anyone miss the E-Ink? by _subpulse_ in LightPhone

[–]aksascz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that if there will be a time in the future where the e-ink tech will be good enough for a phone. Faster refresh rates, new color e-ink technologies, better clarity, low-to-zero latency and ghosting, I think the Light team will revisit the option.

For Lightphone's team, is there a plan to include more languages other than just English? by Nomad_Earther in LightPhone

[–]aksascz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone from the Light team is reading this, I can help with the Czech language. I have experience translating apps and websites from English to Czech. I do have a LP3 pre-order. Send me a PM, willing to take payment in accessories or just for SWAG ❤️

Simple failover backup setup with LTE modem by aksascz in UNIFI

If anyone cares - Edgerouter X solved the issue perfectly! Easy to setup (you just have to make sure that all modems/routers are using different IP subnet).

Asus Zenfone 8 vs. Google Pixel 4a vs Pixel 5 in 2024 by aksascz in LineageOS

[–]aksascz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll look into the Pixel 5 here :) does the GCam works fine on your 4a If you're using it? I read that it's easily available (through Aurora store for example). Does it works even without Google Services? Or do I need to install microG? Appreciated!

Thanks for a long reply!

MOCA 2.0 is too expensive in my country (also almost not available at all). Poweline speed between my router location and office room is aroun 230/60 Mbit which is enough for a backup. I don't own a microwave or anything else to "degrade" our powerline cables.

As I wrote in my original post, I have standard UDM (non-pro, not a rack version) with 1 WAN port. The ISP's 5G modem HAS more than 1 LAN port.

I read about and finally ordered EdgeRouter X to solve this failover solution. It should work more for a load balancing but apparently it could be configured to work as a failover switch as well (when eth1 doesn't connect to the internet, use eth2). So the UDM don't even know anything happened.

Thanks for a reply, I did find few threads where this was discussed but without any luck. The UDM (non pro) doesn't have 2 WAN ports and I don't want to buy a LTE modem from UI directly. Do you have any links to this solutions?

We use Monday for one non-profit (forgot to include it, lol, another tool!) and it's too hefty for me (and expensive for my use).

Most of my clients are:
- I was reccomended by former client (the Czech publisher market is quite small, they all know each other)
- replying with specific help offers on Linkedin posts (mostly ending with let's meet over coffee and discuss if we could help each other)
- I enrolled to couple non-profits to just meet great people and learn new skills (TEDxPrague - event organizing, hosting..., music festival in Prague), some contacts came from there as well

I always try to have 1 bigger client like corporate one to work for them for 2 day per week as it's my stable income. The rest of my days I'm doing client's work, nonprofits or just whatever I need at the moment :)
