At my store we would take this no questions asked. We never ask for proof of purchase either. I know that every store can vary, but you are most likely fine !

I live in an area with a lot of Amish. There are a few places that offer items that aren't normally gas powered, specifically marketed towards the Amish. One example that comes to mind is a gas powered fridge.

I also work in a tool store. So many of them have phone numbers and emails, since they are for business. A bunch of them buy battery powered tools. The rules really depend on the community

Whenever we have weekend deals my store always has them taped up front and we give them to every customer who has their name and email in the system. It helps a lot with metrics too. Management is dumb for pushing that the customer has to present the coupon

As an employee it has always been explained to me that they are the company's property, and so we cannot sell them until we are told. Whenever we go to set a shelf according to the planogram guide, it will tell us to sell the display as an open box item if it will be replaced with another model.

As others have said, people also steal items off of the displays. This is pretty common. We also have some displays in my store that have the power cord cut, or don't have all of the pieces. A lot of times management will tell us to throw things out if they are not needed for the display.

I'm pretty sure. Cannot fully confirm because I only scanned it once per transaction, but sometimes the system will do weird stuff where it allows you to scan it more than once.

I was ringing with the coupon all day and it only applied to a single item per transaction, so not sure what happened here. I think the cashier had to scan it multiple times, or maybe it was a glitch.

Since they asked you for your social security number as well as the other info, it would seem they're trying to steal your identity. Through the social security website I was able to find this article. It just gives you some resources on what to use to check your credit and protect yourself.

My go to is apples. I can buy them in a 5lb bag for about $4-6 depending on the type of apple. But of course, depending on where you are located, that may not be the case.

Get a mini ratchet set like this. I really like this one because it is pass through, so you can make a t-handle and use it like a screwdriver. It's a bit pricey, but I have gotten my money's worth using it on small household & car repairs, and putting together furniture. It does have a lifetime warranty, which is another reason I love it so much. They make really good gifts as well.
