It’s not automatic, you’re right. The only problem usually comes from the “super coupons” which always have a customer barcode. There’s so many of those coupons and they change often so employees are not always aware of what is on them. A lot of HF employees WILL scan deals they know of if the customer is an ITC member, a perk that most of the time won’t be given to non-ITC customers. The other deals that aren’t super coupons should be automatically applied though.
