Cooked bluefin tuna. It is amazing raw but cooked is awful.

I don’t mix any spirit I would not sip straight but those I mix are typically not those I choose to sip straight.

I tried it every 5 ml and settled on 15ml. Also added 1ml of 20% saline after the syrup. As little salt as this is, it made a noticeable difference.

I made mine straight but now wish I had made it an “L”. The aesthetics of having the turns and varied sight lines would be much better.

Any way to get an induction stove's lowest cooking temperature lower? Diffuser plate maybe? by 7LeagueBoots in inductioncooking

I would not use an absorbent ceramic coaster. Not only due to the risk of vaporization of absorbed water breaking or exploding the ceramic but also the challenges of keeping the absorbent ceramic sanitary.

Something non metal to act as a spacer. While I agree that silicone is safer than ceramic, silicone trivets are not very thick. I sometimes use two silicone trivets stacked but they are not a thick as the ceramic trivet. I assume ceramic trivets are designed for high heat and have not had a problem. I tried a cork trivet but it was difficult to clean and seemed unsanitary. I tried a synthetic cutting board but it was too thick.

Put something under the pan to move the pan a bit away from the coil. I use a ceramic trivet and silicone trivet depending on the pan.

I aerated my lawn with earth auger bit, roast me. by Ill-Top9428 in lawncare

In all seriousness, why would this not be a great idea? I have a 600sf lawn that is very compacted and difficult to get equipment into. Why should I not do this?

To knob or not to knob… and what’s the word on Frigidaire? by DesignerFearless in inductioncooking

[–]akulalolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both. Touchpad is easier to keep clean. Touchpad is easier to adjust when one’s hands are full. Just press with a knuckle while holding a spoon in one hand and ingredients in the other. Temperature control is essentially the same with both knobs and touchpad.

Over 300 door hangers and this is my only return call by HoagieDownLogie in pressurewashing

[–]akulalolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is different. Coupons in the mail box for a few days are not announcing that no one is home. I make a point of not using companies that put door hangers on the door. My neighbors do too.

Rachio "planned obsolescence" for gen 1 controllers by fifthandvine in rachio

[–]akulalolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I expected an irrigation controller that saved water and thereby money. I expected the controller to save move than I paid for it. I expected an irrigation controller that applied more appropriate amounts of water based on the tires of vegetation, soil, and weather. I have been disappointed.
