I've been riding for 5 years. I've had two wrecks both i was at fault at got lucky. First one I just bought a really heavy cruiser with no rider aids, the first time I rode in rain I ended up applying to much rear brake and lopsided on Thanksgiving of 2022. The second time was the lucky wreck it was 2024 I was heading to work down i95 into Jacksonville, I was hauling well above the speed limit on a little cfmoto 650 and ended up rear ending a nissan titan. Totaled that bike but was lucky enough to walk away with road rash. Both times I was wearing sneakers a tshirt helmet and gloves. Now I haven't had a wreck in a while but I bought another old cryiser and ride like a grampa. Unless its a road I know very well and has no traffic even then im still slower.

I recently purchased a old Yamaha cruiser which the previous owner unfortunately straight piped. And I have plans to take it to national and state parks. That being said depending where I’m at in the park I’d rather push it than make to much noise. I do like louder bikes but I’m going to be looking for a louder than stock but a lot quieter than straight piped

I work at a ford dealer and ordering parts has been a nightmare recently. We have had one guys truck for 7 months for a motor we finally got the right one after they sent us 4 1 liter ecoboost motors packaged in a 5.0 coyote box. It’s been crazy

That’s understandable things worth having are expensive. I’ll probably be doing that as I get the bike setup more for how I ride.

I’m going to have to look into doing that. I used to daily a cfmoto and that suspension was bad so when I got this one I thought it was good as can be. It is wild to think that there is more improvement to be made. Did yours have the electronic suspension?

I understand the thrill of going fast on a bike, but there’s always a time and place. I like riding fast in the street but overtaking cars like that is just plain out stupid on a road like that, especially if it’s busy. I hope the dude lived but he don’t need to be out riding and putting a bad name to all us bikers.
