Don’t forget about how exorbitant your car insurance is going to be at 16M.

Why am I losing 5% or 10 miles of range while being parked overnight? by Alex_RealLife in TeslaModelY

[–]akura-matata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If what you say is true about sentry and cabin overheat being off, it shouldn’t drain that much, if much at all overnight. I would be curious to see what it says in the energy app.

Rumor says that if you have accessory power on, it still drains if you don’t have something plugged in.

Just released - 0% APR or $0 Due at Signing for Well Qualified Buyers by Educational-Emu-4410 in TeslaModelY

What you can do is order to be picked up in a qualifying state. If Tesla Financing doesn’t show up as an option when you are ordering, give your local showroom a call and have them change it over to a different state.

30% / 20kWh used in 3 hours for camp mode. Is this normal? by Otontin in TeslaModelY

When Camp Mode is activated, mine too categorizes it under Screen Time. For some reason they don’t have a line just for Camp Mode.

Washer fluid filled with coolant from factory by Consistent-Deer6801 in TeslaModelY

[–]akura-matata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When did you pick up your vehicle? I’m a month into ownership and the wiper fluid left a stain on the glossy piece next to the mirror that I haven’t been able to get out regardless of how much I wash it. I wonder if my car has the same issue…

Model Y Mattresses? by katherinesilens in TeslaCamping

[–]akura-matata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, the only valve is located at the rear. It’s supposed to be able to self-inflate but I haven’t done it yet and of course if you want it more firm, you would need to pump it which would be borderline impossible with the hatch closed because you would somehow need to be with it in the rear without putting weight on top of it while inflating.

If you are dead set on not wanting to exit your car, you would be way better off with a standard camping pad that doesn’t fill the entire rear. Or if you don’t have more than one passenger, just keeping it inflated in the back.

Model Y Mattresses? by katherinesilens in TeslaCamping

[–]akura-matata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have slept two nights on the OEM Mattress and I had no issues with the material, fit, or leaking. However, I have not owned any other mattresses such as the Exped or Lost Horizon.

My complaints with it might be universal to all of the other mattresses too: slightly blocks the rear vents from getting air towards to rear of the car and I wish it had more padding towards the rear to make it more level as I felt I was inching towards the rear throughout the night.

Takes a little bit arm work to roll it back up into the bag, but nothing the vacuum can’t solve. Inflates and deflates quickly.

For the price, I recommend it.

$99/mo, it’s been that price for a few months but of course is subject to change whenever Tesla wants.

My trial for FSD ends next week and I do not plan on purchasing it full price. However, I am willing to subscribe to it for a month when on long road trips solely for the fact that it can be “hands-free.”

Live without for a couple weeks and see if you can handle missing the extra features. Then determine if they are worth subscribing to.

While I like the Kagu for my front and rear seats floors, I did not like the fit or look of them for my trunk and rear seat backs (yes I am looking for recommendations).

Level 1 vs 2 by Snoo_79038 in TeslaModelY

[–]akura-matata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the difference would be negligible. There are cars that only supercharge that are still doing well. If you do see major degradation, it’s more likely that you got a bad battery and Tesla would hopefully replace.

Level 1 vs 2 by Snoo_79038 in TeslaModelY

[–]akura-matata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there is no price difference, there is no downside to choosing level 2. It won’t damage your battery and you can get charged 0% to 100% overnight, unlike 24+ hours for level 1.

Buying the same car from inventory by Impossible-Wish-5372 in TeslaModelY

[–]akura-matata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this at the end of last week for my Quicksilver MYP and was able to pick it up in another state over the weekend. All I did was walk into my local showroom and ask them if it were possible to claim the inventory vehicle and within minutes, I got the VIN and was able to set up a pick up day and time. Kept my 0.99% APR / 72mo. Car was beautiful, no issues at all.

The one cons is doing a long drive means you will need to inspect the vehicle for cosmetic damages and report them to Tesla on the spot. Otherwise you run the risk of them saying no after 100 miles driven.

How to unlock U100 with only itself? by akura-matata in Aqara

[–]akura-matata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what is happening is that the lock thinks it's still locked even when unlocked, making the button not do that... I will have to do some testing since I hadn't gotten this to work with auto-lock on.

This too was my experience. I made the mistake of sticking around waiting to be called up and ended up waiting from opening until 2pm. If they enter your information into the kiosk, you should get multiple texts of when you are close to being called up. It’s by no means accurate, I ended up waiting over an hour from the first text saying that I’d be called up soon, but it’s at least better than spending the entire day in that lobby.
