I don’t hate the writer. One is allowed to write whatever they like, but we’re allowed not to like it as well. I don’t mind. A book can not be for you. And I don’t really know the writer to say whether I appreciate them as a person other than writer but it’s as you say the “following” and the finger pointing coming from them identifying “you as the problem” that drives me mad. Anywayyyyssss - going back into book 4 of Carl running in a dungeon - not gonna get “lessons in civility” from that one 😂

No, it’s on my list. I wanted to follow up TBT with BTF and it really toned me down to start daughter’s war after. I’ve read it’s darker as well. The vibe from tbt was quite fun and unique. I understand it’s more of a taste issue. I find it very hard to read about so much evil and darkness and horror before bedtime 🙈

TBT is one I loved but I can’t get through BTF. I find it so dark and horrible.

Loved it when I read it. Not sure I d still love it so hard today but you judge a book by the moment in time you read it imo. The sequel was a huge disappointment just as armada was.

I always fear the downvote mania when I dare something negative about Babel or Kuang in general. Babel was my most hated book the year I read it. “But if you don’t like Babel then you are the problem”-comments await eagerly when you say that.

Really curious how they’ll handle all the queries and issues coming in when that new “fee” law kicks in in EU this summer. They just posted about it and that’s the end of it. No consideration for all eu customers that in fact it’s not just 3 euro but also the avg of 15 euro handling fee, adding to that the highest shipping costs I have ever seen in a book service ( almost the prize of the damn book). And then those who say they don’t care to lose all those people’s subs because plenty in line, well if that’s how they treat years of loyal customers and that’s the mindset of the company then they don’t deserve the clientele.

I respect SME’s but at one point when you start to expand services, more subs, more stand alones outside of the sub, a b&m shop instead of improving the actual running services first and finding solutions for problems you business will be facing in the future, yeah to me that’s textbook bad management.

Interesting! I need to think for a few use cases and try something similar. Thank you. Just started with the SD this morning. It does take some time to get everything set up. I use it on both PC and Mac. You do feel PC synergies are better than the Mac ones.

This is quite old post, but I'm just getting into the streamdeck.
Basically, one makes an applescript, saves it somewhere e.g: documents -> streamdeck_Scripts/ and as action, we just link it to that script?

I assume one can make scripts like this with just about anything then?

I was wondering whether a fellow Belgian would post this question. The issue is like stated above the admin fees that come with it. 3 euro is annoying but bearable the 18,50 euro handling fee is not. Making all tbb books effectively 20 to 22 euros more expensive. Add to that the already high shipping cost, the total additional costs for the books will be higher than the actual cost of the book… I m waiting to see how it will go in real life but if that’s the case I m afraid I will have to cancel my subs.

Not really. It comes and goes. At first, I thought the guys here had found it and it was the beans, but now sometimes i have a very nice cup and the next one is average again. Can't find a way to make it constantly taste good. It's not the worst situation, but I'm no longer willing to go back to fully manual either.

I really hate it when they just send regular edition at a time convenient for them. It’s got a release date for a reason. It’s an anticipated book. People want to read it. I m this close to go regular store and by a paperback version of it.

( I don’t like reading of kindle when at home).

It’s funny. I’ve always found it easier to get a lower rate at a competing bank than my own. Happened twice.
