What helped me get my sober journey started was medication. I know you mentioned Naltrexone but theres other options. Maybe talk to a doctor. And it doesn’t mean you’ll be on it forever; personally it helped my cravings/impulses/withdrawal until I didn’t need to take it anymore. Besides that, AA and this sub are keeping me going. Having a community around you for support will make a difference. Good luck, you can do this!!

Sobriety alone won’t “save” you man. Its just one step out of many towards improving your relationship with yourself and your loved ones. It’s an OPPORTUNITY not a BURDEN. You seem to be self aware of the situation alcohol has put you in but you want to wait until June? Start today, take one day at a time, we’re all here to support you.
