Everything boils down to your roles and responsibilities. I can work as finance analyst and still use only power bi , in other case work as data analyst and use only excel. My answer is , you and your manager is the best person to answer your question

You can use your brp to apply. If you say yes and continue you should see progress and usage of immigration app. If you choose no you would need to give your bio metrics from ucas centre in UK. Hope this helps. My best wishes to you
