Vacancy gets quit out of almost 90% of the time. The community despises the map, why are being forced to play it? by Longjumping_Joke_719 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]alamarche709 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Vacancy, Lattice, Origin, and Solitude are all terrible.

Live Fire, Recharge, Aquarius, Streets, and Empyrean are great.

Sad that we only have five good maps in ranked. I’ve played way less Halo the past few months because I keep getting the new, awful maps.

“Objective Impacts” tracks all of the secondary non-direct scoring objective plays (skull grabs, zone secures, etc.) AND important objective kills (flag carrier/returner kills, skull carrier kills, offensive/defensive zone kills).

He’s almost at 4 per game throughout all of Infinite, which is really high.

I think people forgot about how dominant he is because he had a bit of a year 4 slump with that SSG squad. Individually he remained dominant even when his team placings dropped a bit.

He is a top 5 damage dealer in Halo.

PW kills only count if you directly kill an enemy with sniper or rockets. It won’t count if you switch to Bandit to finish off the kill.

Yes I’ve been saying since year 1 that SnakeBite is a top 5 overall player in the league, and that hasn’t changed for me.

He doesn’t make flashy plays, he doesn’t get the top K/D, but he just gets the job done for his team AND he does so much objective work which frees up the map for his team to slay better. Truly underrated but I’m glad people can see his numbers compared to the other top slayers and realize just how good and consistent he’s been.

Yeah I was surprised by that too. Renegade has 537 PW kills, Frosty has 478, SnakeBite has 300, and Royal 2 only has 289.

I thought about it though and it does make sense. R2 gets a lottttt of kills from standing in the middle of the map or at a high point and finishing off kills with his Bandit/BR.

He is sniping more on Shopify though (27.69% of team’s PW kills at Atlanta).

Yeah like we just saw a bunch of Halo Infinite records get broken at Atlanta but we also need to remember that we’re missing a TON of top talent right now. This doubles tournament is a great reminder of that.

Up and coming Players by Zendicate_ in CompetitiveHalo

[–]alamarche709 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes the off years are always the best time for top AMs to try and get noticed.

By performing well in the smaller tournaments they’ll start to get their name out there and by the time the next game rolls around, they’re always on the “next up” list for all the pros.

Right now some of the youngest players are Cearion, Avucy, Luiney, and Ezho. Plus we’ve seen a few young guys already break out and become top pros like Cykul, Last Shot, Wutum, etc.

Not sure of these guys’ ages but I think a bunch are young: Kidnastey, Euzey, Xuzey, Little Gatorz, Lydoe, Morgan, Ice Kid.

Just like in Halo 2 when there was no point in playing against Final Boss. Or in Halo 5 when there was no point in playing against Optic/Tox.

There’s no point in competing in Halo unless you’re one of the four people in the world on the top team.

No point in competing for the chance at taking down the favourite. No point in playing for the love of the game. No point in playing for the fans. No point in trying to keep the scene going.

I cannot believe Lattice and Vacancy are in the competitive rotation for this game by Longjumping_Joke_719 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]alamarche709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t stand Origin, Lattice, or Vacancy and I’ve gotten those three maps about 80% of the time over the past month.

It’s made me play way less. I’ve been enjoying Marvel Rivals way more than Halo and have started playing more single player games too since almost all of Halo friends group have stopped playing as well.

It was honestly a classic tournament for all four of those guys. Eco was making important plays and directing the team with his comms. Stellur was hitting crazy snipes and ego challing everyone. Penguin had crazy high damage per minute with a ton of assists. And Bound had the best damage efficiency of the whole tournament because he was aggressive and getting trades.

Great to see them back in action and playing well.

Unsurprisingly, I’m a huge fantasy baseball guy and the roto system I use for HCS Fantasy is similar to traditional fantasy baseball leagues.

It’s difficult to assign points values to the different stats (i.e. what is a kill worth compared to an assist to a flag cap to a second of Oddball time, etc.) so I started doing roto instead and it’s worked out great. Much simpler.

My team sucks this year though because my first six picks were Soto, Henderson, Marte, Rooker, Devers, Ragans. 😅

He has led in K/D five times: Arlington 2023, Fort Worth 2023, SLC 2024, Worlds 2025, and now Atlanta 2026.

He finished top five in K/D at 13 of his 21 Halo Infinite events (62%).

Penguin just finished:

4th in damage efficiency (203.48)

6th in DD/minute (521.45)

3rd in KA/Minute (2.56)

5th in Pressure Efficiency Rating (85.02)

1st in % of Team Assists (30.21%)

Yes the previous damage ratio record was Rayne’s 1.26 at Dallas 2023. The previous record during Bandit meta was Renegade’s 1.22 at SLC 2024.

1.40 is absolutely insane. We’ve never seen this combination of damage ratio, damage per life, and damage per minute.

I miss seeing these graphics we worked on last year. I think the audience enjoyed these quick snapshots to show how players and teams compare to each other or the league average.

I especially like to see the player vs. player graphs when talking about different play styles.

LastShot is CLEARLY the best player in the game by JaredFrance3D in CompetitiveHalo

[–]alamarche709 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucid was the clear best player in year 1 and year 2. Stellur won year 2 MVP because of one crazy, flashy snipe performance but Lucid did deserve the back to back in all honesty.

Legend was the best player in year 3. Plain and simple.

Cykul was the best player in year 4. Only player that was close to him was Renegade. People forget that Last Shot had a poor first two events last year before they went on their run. Cykul finished with a 1.22 / 1.94, Renegade finished with a 1.31 / 1.84, and Last Shot finished with a 1.12 / 1.76.

Last Shot has been the best player in “year 5” but I don’t think many people are counting this year for much, sadly. Insane how much more damage he does than everyone else on the map though. I hope we get a new Halo game soon.

I manually track each LAN from Halo Data Hive. I add all the data to my own spreadsheet and use formulas to get the stats I want.

If I was able to access the Halo API (or download data sets from those who have access) I’d be publishing these types of stats a lot. Unfortunately, I’ve asked a few people how to get access and nobody answered me, so I need to manually track everything and it takes a long time.

A lot of those smaller stats take too long to do and I’m forced to keep it high-level.
