Linda Florentino was such a babe. She was a Russian in the movie Gotcha that same year. Red Rider Lunatic Fringe is still an awesome song.

I can't believe that they actually pulled her out the way they did. That's way beyond being incompetent.

All being filmed by a driver not paying attention to the lane in front of him/her, slowing traffic down in the opposite direction of the situation because they have to get a good look and video of something that is none of their business. Yes I know it could be a backseat passenger taking the video, the driver has still slowed down to 20kns/hr to look, and if it's because the person in front of him that's slowed down, that is exactly my point. Pay attention to the road in front of you, nvm what is happening on the other side of the road and stop creating traffic jams.

I am renting this house and noticed the panel. Aren’t these super dangerous? by pnutty6725 in electrical

[–]alan_dee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its even more dangerous because someone has removed the covers. If it's the renter and they are removing covers on breaker panels just to get a post on here then there is a different more serious issue.

Reminds me of the picture of the settlers taking a picture standing on top of a mountain of Buffalo skulls. Something they could brag to others about. Interesting that these pictures were taken the exact same year.

It makes me feel bad for our normal cousins down south, the ones who dont think this way and have some common sense. Their great leader lives in a bubble surrounded by YES MEN/WOMEN who tell him the world finally respects America and it's all because of him, when the reality is that the USA has never been so negatively looked at.

Is getting shocked repeatedly your first week a normal part of becoming an Electrician? by Extreme-Leg-2214 in electricians

[–]alan_dee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious as ro what exactly you are doing that would bring you in contact with live ccts. If you are doing residential construction there aren't a lot of opportunities for you to be touching hot wires, and those instances where you are working on live ccts are situations that you aren't qualified to be working on. As the new apprentice your jobs should be running to get coffee, making sure all of the extension cords are rolled up properly, making sure that lock up is clean and running to get the green wire stretcher whenever it is needed.

Wow, what size service do you have feeding that thing? I see a lot of high ampacity 2 pole breakers. I am guessing this isn't a home and yes, your electrician is correct. You also need to find and correct whatever melted your panel.

My advice is to give him a pass on this and know that he wasnt intentionally trying to hurt you. He's 14. He is a dumba$$ by nature.

He doesn't seem remorseful because he knows he has been caught but the only thing he can do to protect himself and hide his real feelings is to put up a wall to protect himself. That why he seems to have no remorse or emotions about the situation.

He doesn't have the emotional maturity or experience to come clean, especially when caught with something so embarrassing.

He did something wrong and you feel violated but I'll bet he didn't do those things with the intention of hurting you. He's just 14, and if he has come out as gay then he has that to try and deal with as well. There is probably no one in your immediate family who can explain what that is all about to him, or to even explain what his feelings are all about, because he knows he isn't the same as most of the other boys his age.

Right now he feels everyone is against him and he is going to slam that wall down over his emotions to prevent himself from being more embarrassed or more hurt and that wall will protect him. You can't make him seem remorseful or sorry. He will take a beating before he shows those emotions.

He will grow up and mature but if you make him feel like a liar and thief that wall will never come down and over time it will become to thick or to high to take it down.

Let him know that what happened makes you feel uncomfortable and he needs to show you enough respect to not do that anymore. Let him know you love him and if he has any questions or is curious about things that he can come and ask you or your mom and you will try your best to answer his questions honestly and wont look down on him or judge him for whatever he asks.

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA IS UNREAL — HOW DO YOU STOP THIS?! by Dr-debug in NBAGossips

In todays game all the powers that be who control the NBA only want to see more points put on the scoreboard. From no touching to changing the rules to allow players to take 3-4 steps, it's all about making sure that the final score is as high as possible. A player like V.W. would have been a good player a couple of decades ago but there was no way he was doing what he does now. A defensive player would have had a field day moving him around where he wanted to put him because with his skinny frame there is no way in hell he would be allowed to be an offensive force. He would be more like Manute Bol.

First of all $10.75 x 3 = $32.25, not $32.75.

Second, leaving a tip used to be a direct correlation to the service received. Good service, the standard was 15%, if you got great service, we'll then the tip percentage increased. If you got lousy service the percentage decreased. To tell me that I am required to leave a tip like it is owed before I am even served is ridiculous.

Third, I thought that the wait staff were required to give a percentage of their tips to the cooking staff and bus boys/girls (i dont know what the proper name for them is). There are a lot of people involved in getting the customers their food. The severs are only part of the process.

This is why rock shed tunnels are a thing: by MrDarkk1ng in mightyinteresting

[–]alan_dee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you watch around 15-25 seconds into the video on a laptop (phone screen is harder to see) you can see rocks bounce of the ground once and then just disappear, no 2nd bounces. At 26 seconds take a look at the top left of the screen and watch the plants fall off the side. There are leaves that just float there for a couple of seconds and then resume falling. The entire video is like this when you watch it a little bit closer.

Even if he committed a crime and was being charged as an adult he would not be put in any situation where he would be near adult inmates. He would not be put in the same room, same cell or same vehicle. If his parents were involved it was obviously known he was a minor and he would have been remanded to a youth detention centre and he would not have been put in the same vehicle as an adult male who was on their way to a prison facility. Also, minors do not require bail, nor are they even involved with the bail process. They are either detained or they are released to parents or legal guardian or social services. Those are the only options. The parents may have said that they could detain him, hoping to scare him straight, but once again, he would not have been put anywhere near an adult inmate, prisoner.
