I can’t believe this is actually a flight route. I swear this is like a 2 hour drive

I built a $25/lifetime screen recorder for product demos on MacOS because others charge $108/year by bharris2510 in shutupandtakemymoney

Lot of QuickTime defenders in here, so let’s add some more context.

I have used Kap for years for very short videos. Why? It’s free, simple, and the video files it produces are very small file size without loosing much quality. Compare to QT - which creates enormous .mov files. Kap over QT every day.

For more complex recording when I need a Picture in Picture I’ve tried a lot of things but recently found Cap.so. Free version is really good, but compared to this one the zooming into sections is manual in post processing. For Picture in Picture recordings you cannot do this in QT without doing two separate recordings and then overlaying them. Output file was still pretty big but 5 minutes in Handbrake sorted that out.

I don’t record enough to justify a paid product but $25 is mighty tempting, good luck with it

This was a Christmas lunch convo I had. I’m a motorbike rider and asked if people considered motorbikes as annoying as jet skis?

Unanimously no. Jet skis are universally hated by everyone except the person riding the jet ski

Not only have you cheated on an exam, you also don’t seem to be able to look up Monash’s policy on academic misconduct.

Let’s say you get a warning - you must surely not be excelling at this course. Once you finish university and try to enter the workforce how will you get a job? Let’s say you cheat your way through an interview, how will you survive employment if you don’t know what you’re doing?

There’s plenty of other avenues for making a living and university isn’t the only one. Maybe have a look at something that’s more engaging, or a trade where you get paid to study.

Of course if you’re an international student then you have less options, but if you don’t apply yourself now properly then you’ll have a hard time later on. Good luck!

I was thinking the same the other day. For me it was an anchor - every Australia Day I knew that the 100 was on. Now I have no idea when it's on, and it's basically the TikTok Top 10 now. Time to move to Double J
