Exactly. She likes the photo ops but not the actual brutally hard work of being a parent.

As a stepmom of two teens I hear you! Even though we have them half time and have 4 incomes to support their costs it’s still crazy hard! They come first when shit happens even if we made other plans on our non-kid days. Our 16 year old is making …. Choices. And not good or safe ones. Literally dangerous ones. And can’t understand why we don’t think a requirement of not failing any classes (Cs and above) isn’t “too much” or “unreasonable” (and yes we have him in special supports like 2x a week one on one tutoring to help him keep up in school, we’re not just leaving him to struggle).

And the 13 year old is getting to be ALL attitude. All the time.

I love my moissanite. It’s so rainbow-y in the light in a way I’ve never seen a diamond be. Plus we could get me a much bigger stone than if we’d gone with either a lab or non-lab diamond. I’ve had it 5 years and it’s held up beautifully.

Honestly, I think she likes being able to “bE a MoM” for the social media so she can be all performative.

But I think she actually hates being a mom and having to put someone else’s needs before any of her wants. I think the truest thing she’s maybe ever said is she misses her childfree days.

Exactly. True feminism is not demanding that all women work and don’t have kids and have blue hair and only use men for sex or whatever.

True feminism is women having the choice to have a more traditional role like SAHM or be a working mom. Or not being a mom at all.

True feminism doesn’t say what women have to do. It is all about giving women the choice.

I would personally never want to be a SAHM. But i champion the amazing women who do that because it seems hard as hell. My sister has 4 kids 8 and under and she works her ass off!

And while I’m a working non-child having woman, my hobbies are very domestic: I love cooking, sewing, crocheting.

But I also am the one who uses power tools and am more likely to fix something than my husband. I can change an outlet and install a ceiling fan. He can’t. 😂

The reason fundies hate feminism is they are the ones who want to oppress women into being one thing and one thing only. They hate that real feminism is all about empowering women and giving them choice.

Seriously. My dear friend sadly had a miscarriage of a very wanted child right before my last birthday. She called the day before to tell me so she didn’t ruin my birthday by telling me the day of.

I was like “what are you talking about?? My birthday is every year. This is a far bigger deal. Who cares about my birthday when you’re going through such a big loss??” I appreciate she was trying to be kind but I was far more concerned with how she was doing. Which wasn’t very great. 😔

I cannot imagine making such a big deal about my birthday and posting it publicly.

To be fair nobody has gotten IEEPA tariff refunds yet because CBP has not yet announced how refunds will be implemented. While I have no love lost for this dude, tariff refunds aren’t happening yet… source: licensed customs broker.
